Fingerhut gave me a chance. My score was 561 I just opened a Secured credit card with Unity Visa with a open collection still on my report. I got approved with a $600 credit line and will take very great care of the usage being below 20% at all times.

Started off with the Fresh Start program. After 3 consecutive timely payments, I was bumped up to a regular account. Score is up 30 points. As a reference, my TU score at that time was 560 and I got approved for $250.

My score was about 515. I applied to many cards and was denied (eg Credit One, FP!!). I finally tried FH Fresh Start and was approved for $250. I made my first purchase with a $40 down and paid off the "loan installment" within a few months. After that, I was upgraded to the regular account and saw my scores improve to about 590. I can't wait to see what happens in 6 months.

I started with the Freshstart program and got a $200 credit line. I made a purchase and as soon as it was posted, I paid it off about 2 days later. After about 3 weeks, I made another purchase and also paid up pretty quickly. Once that happened, I got upgraded to the regular account. When I got Fingerhut, my scores were in the 400s. But it has improved to over 500 now. They also started reporting to the 3 bureaus about a month after I got the account.

BK was discharged on 5/5/15. Was approved on 5/20/15 for $200. My Eq score was 470 then. After six months and four purchases (which I paid off after two payments), my score is now 540.

I messed up my credit when I was young. Had some medical debts and lots in collections. My score had gone down to 480. I could not even get approved for unsecured cards with high fees (the ones meant to target folks like me). But fingerhut gave me a chance and I got approved for Fingerhut for $200. I would buy something and pay if off after two or three payments. They have given me a credit increase of about $400 to $500 every six months. My limit is now about $2000! My scores have also improved to about 620 over slightly more than a year. I have just gotten a couple of store cards and when my score goes up to the high 600s or 700, I'll start applying for some better cards. For those of you who have really bad credit, you should consider Fingerhut. It has definitely helped me rebuild.

My score was 590 and I was approved for $400. I have bought a pair of shoes, a bar stool and very cheap computer. So far so good.

Got into the Fresh Start program when my score was 560. I was moved to the regular account after one purchase. I made another purchase and after paying it off, my limit went from $250 to $750 (a $500 increase).

Here is my story of how Fingerhut helped me regain my footing. My score was about 430 (like really bad) and yet I got approved for FH Fresh Start. I was merely approved for $150. I made some purchases and took about 4 months to pay off. Once that was paid off, I was moved to their regular account. My limit was increased to $250. After that, I went on an app spree. I got approved for Capital One QS, Walmart, Sears and Kohls. After about a year or so, my scores are now 610. That is a huge improvement and I will be working had as hell to get my scores up to 700.

Have to thank Web Bank and Fingerhut for helping my credit. When I compare stuff on FH to Amazon, they are about 30% to 35%. Bottom is that it is best to have good credit. But if yours is not, FH is a good way to rebuild it.

Got FH when my score was 480. I had a couple of collections and was surprised I was approved. They start you low ($150 for me). Then once you buy something and pay it off, they give you an increase to tease you into making a larger purchase. My limit is now $2000! Prices are about 25% more expensive than Amazon and they charge a hefty shipping fee. But my scores are now 650 so I would say go for it if you have scores just like mine not too long ago.

My score was hovering around 555. I did not think I would get approved. But I actually did after some verifications. I was given a $500 credit line. The prices on FH is about 20% above normal retail price and there is a shipping fee. I also found out that you can use Fingerhut at Teleflora.com so at least you can buy flowers at "regular" prices.

Score was 460 when I applied. A few items in collections. Was surprised to be approved for the Fresh Start program for $250. Bought 2 pairs of shoes and paid it off after 3 months. I was then given the regular FH account. After another purchase that was paid off, my credit line increased to $750. My score is now 530.

I was denied USB and Citi secured cards and decided to give FH a shot. My credit was in the dumps (460 score) and I was approved for $150 on their Fresh Start program. I made my first purchase and had it paid off in 5 months. I was then given the regular FH account and a CLI to $500. After another 4 months, I had a CLI again of $500 so my limit is now $1000. Meanwhile, my EQ score is now about 600. I have just gotten approval for Kohls and Walmart store cards.

It was my fault that my credit took a hit and my score dived to 480 area. I tried to apply for a couple of secured cards but was declined. I did some research and decided to give this a shot. I was approved for the Fresh Start and was then moved to the regular Fingerhut credit account after paying off the first thing I bought. My limit increased from $150 to $400.
