Buy On Trust is a lease to own electronics store where you can pick up your purchases from the nearest Best Buy Store. Your payments are reported to all the three major credit bureaus. There is also no credit checks (unlike Fingerhut, which performs a hard inquiry when you apply). Instead, you need an income of at least $1,000 for 3 months from the same source and a checking account with no overdraft, negative balances and no NSF. You can get up to $5,000 in credit limit based on information from your bank account.
Note: On the second page of the application form, you will be asked to fill in the last 4 digit of your SSN. Do not be alarmed by this as they are using it solely for identity verification purposes and will NOT result in any hard inquiries.
You will also be sent a text message on your cell phone (which you have to fill in on the first page of the application form. You have to fill in the number code given to you on the cell phone to proceed.
