I had very little credit history aside from some school loans. Started off with the fresh start. You have to put down $40 and pay the rest over a 6-9 month installment. I bought something and paid it off after 3 payments. Then about 2-3 weeks later, I was moved up to the regular account. It was then that I saw my scores go up by 30-40 points across the 3 bureaus. For those looking to rebuild their credit, this is a great program. The only downside is that the shipping is ridiculous ($15) and you could always find a better price online. But the best thing to do is to buy a brand that you are familiar with.

I applied for the fresh start program. The first thing I got was a bicycle for my son. Paid $50 down and paid off the remainder in 2 months. My score improved by 40 points after that. I was then upgraded to the regular account with a $500 CLI.

I got introduced to Fingerhut because my mom used to have that account. She would household goods with that and also shoes for us. I have made mistakes with regards to my credit. To rebuild I tried applying for a few secured credit cards but was turned down. I tried Fingerbut and was approved for their Fresh Start program. My score then was 520 and I got a $200 limit and had to put a $30 downpayment and 6-9 months to repay. I did not mind those terms. I bought some stuff for about $150 including shipping. I paid it off. After four purchases that were paid off, I got upgraded to the regular Fingerhut account. My credit lines have also been increased a couple of times and it is now $750.

My EX score was 530 when I applied. After 8 months of using this card (probably made about 5 purchases), my score is now 590. I just have to be patient and soon my scores will be over 600.

My credit was bad (510 score) and I have a few collections ($1200). I applied and got approved for Fingerhut for $250. I buy something once every couple of months and pay it off. After I got Fingerhut, I applied and was also approved for a couple of secured cards like Opensky and Capital One. I try to keep my utilization below 30%. After 8 months, my credit score is now 630. So yes, you can improve your credit and you do not have to get cards with ridiculous fees.

I applied for Fingerhut when my score was about 580. I got approved for $250 freshstart program with $30 down. I bought a couple stuff and took 5 months to pay off. I was then upgraded to the regular account. Since then, I have gotten approved for 3 store cards and I look forward to steadily increasing my credit score.

Opened an account with FH when my scores is about 590. I was given a $300 limit. I bought $150 worth of stuff and paid it off over 3 months. 3 months after I opened the account, my credit line is now $800. The price on FH is a little overpriced. But I will keep buying stuff to get the credit line increase. My score is also now about 640 and increasing. Can't wait for the day where I can get a regular no annual fee card and start shopping on amazon again.

I was denied Credit One and First Premier and even a couple of secured cards. FH gave me a chance and approved me (505 score). My limit has gone up twice and it is now $1000.

Got my first store card approved. FH Fresh Start for $130! Hey - but there is no annual fee that other cards have. Prices are higher but it is a start for me. BTW - score was 540 when I was approved.

I got Fingerhut when my score was about 505. My initial limit was $200. Over the last two and a half years, I have seen my credit line increase to $3500. I think that was because I was always buying stuff from them. I never went over $400 on the account. Recently, I got another promo from them and I did not pull the trigger. They then decreased my limit to $3000! Is it because I did not take up the promo?

FH has helped me rebuild my credit score. When I got Fingerhut, my score was 567. After one year, my credit line has increased from an initial $300 to $1200. My score had also increased to 650. Giving this a 4-star rather than 5 because the prices are more expensive than other online stores.
