I normally use points for OBC or for statement credits. You could either get OBC on your SeaPass account. You could also redeem points for statement credits but only after your final payment.

Has anyone actually used their points to redeem for a cruise. I was looking at the reward charts and getting prices for those cruises that they list. The points required is way more than the price (excluding taxes since points cannot redeem the tax portion). It just looks like redeeming points for the price of the cruise or OBO seems to be the best use.

After cruising with Celebrity for 3 years, we finally decided to get this card. I normally use the points to take the balance off the cruise. For example, I have used 20,000 to get $200 off for my most recent Reflection cruise. You can also use points to take balance off OBO but I use them to reduce cruise fare.

I actually like both Celebrity and Royal Caribbean so this card works perfectly for me. I use the points to get discount off cruise since it is difficult to find the price of a cruise (excluding taxes) that match the points required. I last used my points to get a $450 discount on a cruise which I booked last minute and had to pay in full on the final payment date. Have not used it for OBO yet.

I love my celebrity cruise card. You can use the points on celebrity, royal caribbean and azamara. I have used the points for cruise discounts and OBO as well. For your cruise payments, simply use the card and get 2X. Then just apply the points you have.

If you take a couple of cruises each year, it is very easy to earn points. 2X on cruise payments plus the 10,000 anniversary bonus if you spend $10,000.

I have this card and I love it. The one I have is the $69 annual fee version (which has a couple of perks and bonus that the no annual fee version does not have).

Having said that, I recently got a Barclays Arrival and you can earn 2X on everything. It has an annual fee but so does this card. I find that I am earning more points with the Barclaycard than this card and I think I will eventually just close this card and use the Arrival card.
