A couple of months ago, I made a 2 big purchases and after each one, I sent in a cheque to pay it off. This triggered a 7 day hold on my payment and limit. Which was really irritating cos all I wanted to do was pay off my balance.

Just a warning to those getting this card. My payments are put on hold for 7 days even though my checking account is with USAA!

There is something you definitely have to be aware with this card. There was once where I made multiple payments whereas I usually just made one payment a month. USAA detected this as unusual activity and held up my payment for 7 days. Since I used up most of my limit that month (which was why I paid multiple times), I could not use my card for a week!!!
