This card provides an excellent option to help you rebuild credit. It doesn't require a credit check, payments made online credit to your account quickly (within 1 business day), and it does help boost your credit score.
I agree with the reviews that say you need to apply for this card with a VERIFIABLE home address (not a mailing address) that matches with your own credit report. That's to prevent fraud. You need a driver's license with your actual home address on it that can be verified by the bank and the address on your driver's license also needs to match your credit report. You need to be a US citizen with your own social security number. Easy.
You also need to be realistic - don't make a payment at 11:45pm on the exact day the payment is due and then complain that the company credited you late. Don't mail in payments and wonder why they get it a week late. Don't say your payment got rejected and say it's the banks' fault. You know that isn't true. Keep track of your payments.
Pay online via their app - it is very easy. Their app works very well.
The longest I have had to wait to reach customer service is 20 minutes on hold, but that is pretty standard during COVID.
I've never had a problem using this card, it is a regular Visa and is accepted everywhere. I make my payments 2-3 days before my due date and have never had a problem at all.
I've had this card for 28 months now and am almost ready to go on to non-secured cards - but it has helped me a lot and I have never had any problems.

Excellent card to help you build or rebuild credit. As of February 2021, this card credits your payments to your account within 24 hours of you paying, and releases your available credit within 24 hours after your payment! Really helpful.
Never had any problems at all with this card after having it for several years. I think the people who are complaining either were not able to prove their identity or their physical home address to initially get approved for the card, or they have missed payments, or done something else incorrectly. I've never had a single problem with reaching customer service, on occasion there may be a 10-15 minute hold time due to busy times during COVID, which is fairly normal.
OpenSky is one of the few cards out there that will give you another chance to restart your credit. You WILL have to be able to prove your identity and your physical home address (not a PO Box or mailing address) when applying, and this is normal with any credit card to verify the person applying is the person he or she says they are, and to prevent fraud.

Got rejected by a few secured cards (and al with a hard inquiry). Glad to have found this card. The annual fee is worth not having any hard pull on your report.
Everything is been great so far. Payment is easy and I have never had any problems using the card anywhere.

This is absolutely the best card for rebuilding. There is no credit checks and I can pay using my debit card. My TU score has gone up 50 points after 2 months of using this card. I highly recommend this card for rebuilders. Avoid cards with high fees (there are lots of them out there).

When I started off with this card, my credit score was really bad (around 515 area). I was declined for a few other secured credit cards (no kidding). Then, I did some research and found this card. It has a low annual fee, no credit checks and no monthly fees. I applied and was instantly approve though the card took a few days to arrive.
After 11 months (slightly less than a year) of using it for paying bills and my netflix account, my score increased by about 100 points. I managed to get a couple of no annual fee unsecured cards. Fast forward a year and a half and my credit score is now about 745. Timing is right as I am about to close on a house and I am getting the best mortgage rates.

I think this is one of the best cards for rebuilding. I was researching mortgage rates via Quicken Loans and even they recommended this card to rebuild your credit! I took their recommendation and got one myself. Within a year and a half, my scores have increased about 100 points. I still have ways to go to get prime mortgage rates, but what a great start.

This card has helped me rebuild my credit after my BK. I started off with a $300 deposit. I used the card to pay a couple bills. I always pay in full and on time. Within 6 months, my score has increased by 100 points. If you are looking to rebuild and reestablish your credit, this would be the card to get.

I made a lot of mistakes when I was younger and saw my score crash to 450. I got this card and deposited $200. I would only charge $20 a month. One was for my netflix account and they other when I had a meal out. Then I would put the card in my drawer and not use it. I would then pay it off in full every month as well. Within a year, my score has risen to 550.
If you are smart about how you use the card, you can recover from a bad score

My husband defaulted on one of the cards in which I was an authorized holder. My score took a hit and I was denied for both Cap1 secured and BOA secured. I was told my score was 488 with delinquencies. I did some research and found out that Opensky had no credit checks. I took a chance and was approved. Card arrived about 10 days later. After using it for 8 months and only about 15% on my credit line, my score is now 625.
I took a shot and applied for the capital one platinum and was approved for $300. I have got to thank Opensky for helping me rebuild my credit.

This was the first card that I applied for after my BK (2 weeks after discharge). I was approved and the card took about 7 business days to arrive. It has been 1 years and my score has increased fro 500 to 650. I spend about $30 to $50 a month and pay it off in full every month. That is all I have been doing. This is an excellent card to rebuild credit.

I like that you can make recurring scheduled payments. My score went from 550 to 690 with a year.
If you are rebuilding, just get this card. Avoid the high fee unsecured cards and after a while, you will be surprised where your score will be. Got it use it responsibly though.

All other secured cards and "sub-prime" cards wanted my bank account and routing number. With Opensky, I simple paid with my debit card.

I got into trouble with credit cards in college and I got this card to get back on track. My score was 530 when I got this card. I deposited $300. 6 months later, my score is up by 100 points - 630. I also got a walmart card and a cap one platinum card (both $500 limit).

I have only great things to say about this card. My score was 540 when I got approved. I started off with $500. After 3 months, my score had gone up to 650. Incredible! All I did was charge about $50 a month on the card and paid in full on time. I sent my checks a week early because they put a hold on your payment. But since I spend only $50 on the card (about 10% utilization), this has never been a problem. I also have about $40,000 of charge offs from 5 credit cards that have not dropped off (it will happen soon).

This card is a breeze to use. Making payments is easy as well (online or by phone) unlike some other cards. If you make a few timely payments, you will see your score go up.

My TU score was 525. After I applied, I checked my score and it went up by 30 points to 555. I also got my card 2 weeks after I put in my $500 deposit.
