Ok - so the card features itself is great. 2X miles, Chip and Pin, no foreign transaction fees. But before I was in Frankfurt, I called Barclays to tell them that I was traveling and where I would be going. And the card is got declined! Had to waste my time on cell phone at international roaming charges to sort it out. Sure Barclays can do better than that?

I found it strange that I was only approved for $8000 CL when my other cards all had at least 5 figure lines. Though the card is great, I only found out later that though you earn 2X points, it is only worth it if you redeem the points for travel (and they have expanded that definition quite a bit to include things like bus rides!). If you redeem for other rewards, then it is not worth it.

My positive feelings about this card resolves around the fact that approval was almost instant for me and I got a decent CL. I like earning 2% for travel rewards. The downside of this card is that if you use points for non-travel rewards, the value is only 0.5%. So you have to be aware that this card is only meant for you if you use the points for travel and nothing else.

I use this card. Love the 2% rewards. But I have to give this card a 3 star because I think their CSRs could be trained much better. Had to call them twice for issues relating to statements and bills and I felt they could have handled my call better. For me, Amex and Discover (have cards from both issuer) remain the benchmark.
