They held my payment for 14 days when I paid from my checking account. When I asked why, CSR had no logical explanation other than send us a copy that it has cleared your bank and we will clear it in 2-3 days.

After I paid the processing fee, I went to activate the card and was told I cannot do it until the funds are "verified"! what the heck is this?

Where is the website for you to check your transactions? In fact, I don't think there is one. Who in today's age remembers what they spend on their card? I need to see the statement online occasionally just to verify.

My experience was not good right from the start. I sent a check in for the processing fee. After it was deducted from my bank account, I called to activate the card and was told that the check needs to be verified. If the checked has cleared my bank account what is there a need to verify? Anyway, customer service was not particularly helpful. Wait times were long and it was not a very pleasant experience.
