I got approved for a Blaze mastercard and would never recommend them to anyone. Supposedly, there was a security issue and my account got locked. However, there was nothing that looked like it would cause a security risk. When I called, they told me I need to send a clean copy of my Driver's license and social security card through the mail to get it unlocked. According to them, there is no other way to secure the account. I am not going to do that so I have an unusable card that has an annual fee. I will end up closing the account after paying it off as I don't want to pay an annual fee for an unusable card.

The card doesn't allow more than 1 electronic bank payment in a billing cycle. If you find that you can pay more of your balance down and want to make an additional payment you have to go through one of the transfer whores like Money gram or Western Union. Making you pay an exorbitant fee to pay an already high interest rate, I can pay my Capital One and Discover cards 20 times a month without questions or fees. Needless to say my account is now closed. Stay away unless you're desperate!

Setup for you to fail, so they can charge fees and threaten more fees. Run away from this lender.

So I use to have a 720 + across the board until the pandemic and had to max out all the cards during the pandemic. Well, after paying most off except one and making consistent payments by score went from a 490 to back up to a 600 so the cards offers have been coming in.

Well Blaze comes in with the pre-approved and I applied for several others (Milestone, Merrick, and Reflex)

ALL approved. Go to sign up for this one and denied.

One thing I dont mind is credit hits for successful pre-approved... but when all these others approve and BLAZE is the only one NOT to I get a tad salty.

I see from recent ratings I am probably better off, but it still irks me, that they would send an offer and pre-approval and then deny me.

Stay away... and when Im back up to a 720 BLAZE do not send me another offer.

I have no debit card, im on SSDI and my bills are paid through a payee, the payee paid my bill and it got bounced back for not having 75 cents in the account.
Blaze said i had to pay with a check or debit card and I have neither and my neither does my payee for my account.
I told them to close the account (a month before the $75 annual fee) and they said SURE NO PROBLEM without even trying to help me. so I dont plan to pay them and I'll eat the collection on my credit since they have my address as the social services place that handles my bill payments.
Good luck to them collecting.

Received bill for the 75.00 fee but still haven't rec. card been a month since approved. if they charge me a late charge i will discontinue

worst card ever, customer service sucks. can never get to a manager, always want to give you a call back. they dont and then claim they left a voice mail.
no credit increases, waste of space in the wallet. zero stars is all they deserve.

DO NOT USE THIS CARD COMPANY. I had a restaurant charge me the wrong amount. I made the mistake of calling the credit card company before trying to call the restaurant. I was told by the credit card company that they would handle it and there was no need to reach out to the restaurant at that time. The credit card company then filed a a dispute against the wrong company. In my statement I had two charges for the same amount at two different places. Blaze filed the dispute against the wrong charge.

They then alert me that my dispute was invalid.

I contacted and told them they had filed against the wrong company.

Blaze again told me they would handle it.

Then, I get a letter telling me I could not dispute the charge since I used the card at the restaurant. FOR FOUR MONTHS NOW, I have been trying to get this resolved.

I called them Saturday and was told I would need to speak to someone in the Fraud department and was chastised for not calling the restaurant first. They ignored everything I have previously told them again, and they also ignored everything they had already told me. They said they could not handle it any further until the fraud department was back open.

I called the restaurant multiple times but have been unable to get a manager to call me back. I wanted to give it a few attempts before reaching back out to Blaze. I call Blaze today to let them know I was having a hard time getting in touch with a manager at the restaurant and that I needed to speak with someone in the fraud department. I am then told that customers must be called by the fraud department, and cannot be transferred to the fraud department. I get upset at their lack of attention to detail and misleading guidance and bring that to the attention of the "service" agent on the phone with me. She gets defensive and tell me to stop talking, so she can explain the process. After her explanation I ask again to have someone from the fraud department to call me. She then changes her story and says customers are not allowed to have any conversations with the fraud department and that all fraud issues are handled by their communications to the fraud department. Four months of misleading information, four months of poorly trained and MOODY customer service agents...will be paying this account off in full soon and sending complaints to both the house and senate oversight committees

Horrible card think I'm going to cancel it payments always on time
above minimum but refuses to give increase as promised after a year

I had an interest charge and a late fee before I even received the card. I cancelled it because I didn't like starting out on a bad note.

Was easy to get the card BUT if there is a problem with something you bought with the card, they refuse to make it right. I bought an item that was defective, returned it to the place I bought it, was told I would get a refund, never happened. Filed a complaint with The Blaze customer support, they refused to credit my account unless I produced a receipt showing I returned it. WHAT RECIEPT?? I don't get a receipt when I give it to the mailman!! The company I bought the product from is no longer in business so I have been screwed twice!!

I was Never assigned a Crideit Limit because this card "turned me down" AFTER they sent me a letter saying that I was "PRE-Approved" for the Card. IAM complaining, because these
"Pre-Approved" offers come in the mail, I take the time to fill them out. They all say at the end:

"...Wait 2-4 Weeks for processing your credit form your credit Limit will be determined at that time. "When" APPROVED"... [Never "if"...Remember it's Pre-Approved] You will receive..."
This one was NO DIFFERENT. And Each time my credit seems to tank a bit lower!

I applied for the Blaze card, and was sent a list of information and documents to be sent back, including my bank statement. My credit score is 605, so I will not be sending my personal bank statement back because it has two much of my personal information detailed. I was not told what my credit line would be after they receive my documents. I am just going to go with Freedom Gold right now to build my credit score up.

I HAVE HAD CREDIT ISSUES IN THE LAST FEW YEARS.. I RECENTLY APPLIED FOR OTHER CARDS AND GOT DENIED (EXCEPT SECURED) I HAVE HAD 3 DIFFERENT SECURED CARDS (TO SHOW ACCOUNTS) PAY ALL BUT ONE IN FULL EVERY MONTH (NEEDED TIRES).. BUT WILL BE PAID IN 3 MONTHS IN FULL.. I LOOKED AROUND AND FOUND THIS APPLICATION ON LINE.. APPLIED AND GOT APPROVED WITH A $350 LIMIT (I WAS SHOCKED).. A HEFTY 75.00 FEE HOWEVER WELL WORTH IT TO BE ABLE TO ELIMINATE MY SECURED CARDS.. STILL WAITING ON THE CARD - HOWEVER CALLED AND THEY SAID THE APPLICATION WAS APPROVED AND CARD HAS BEEN MAILED. SHOULD HAVE IT TODAY :)

I applied not thinking I would get it. I got a 500 dollar limit. The 75 dollar annual fee is a lot, but they approved me, so it helped out.

I paid alot of fees to get this card to rebuild my credit score. They said in the letter that you would get credit line in crease after 4 on maybe 6 on time payments. When i called to inquire they said oh , it goes by your score. That not what the letter said. Capital One told me normally it half of your credit increase wen met time requirements . Which is done once a year. Only if you like a larger increase do they pull credit. So why are they charging all these fees ? I am going to register 3 complaints , cause to me that is most like maybe advertising fraud possible. I let the proper organizations investigate it.

THIS IS A TOTAL FRAUD.. THEY SEND YOU LETTER AT HOME STATING THAT YOU ARE PRE-APPROVED, BUT WHEN YOU APPLY ONLINE.. IT GET DECLINED. WHEN SPOKE WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE REP.. HE STATED THAT WELL " PRE-APPROVED" DOESNT MEAN ... THAT YOU ARE APPROVED FOR A CREDIT CARD... ITS MEAN YOU CAN APPLY. NEVER DEALT WITH ANY COMPUTER WHO LIES TO GET YOU APPLY AND PULL YOU CREDIT. IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS BEFORE..I WOULD HAVE NEVER LET THEM PULL MY CREDIT. THIS IS TOTALLY FRAUD AND THEY NEED TO STOP DOING THIS RIGHT AWAY. I HAVE SEEN LETTER STATING PRE-SELECTED... BUT NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS.. PRE-APPROVED..BUT SORRY YOU APPLICATION IS DECLINED. BULL SHIT.. THIS IS WHAT YOU CANN STILL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.
