I have had this card for 9 years. Every once and a while I have an online issue where I need a credit. I wait to pay the balance till the charge is cleared. I always pay the full amount and never the min. I have had a few times where I didnt get my balance or the mail stating I had received the credit. This last time they wanted a $27 dollar fee for being late. I have had this before due to same situations but they credit it back because I ALWAYS pay my bill. Today however they would not. I realize it is the managers choice, so she decided $27 was worth more to this company then the thousands I have spent with them. Cancelled acct and will never do business with them again

Customer service is complete trash. DO not use this card unless you fully trust the merchant. I used the card to leave a "deposit" on an item to hold it until I could pay cash the very next day. The merchant to this day has not refunded my "deposit". I disputed the charge with Barclays and they called the merchant and put us on a 3 way call and hung up. I could have called the merchant myself. I called a few days later after the merchant promised a refund and Barclays asked me for proof that I deserved a refund. I told them to call the merchant and have him prove he was due the money like every other credit card company on the planet. Long story short it appears I am out a grand and Barclays helped facilitate the theft. Piece of Garbage credit card!!!

I've had the card for almost 7 1/2 years and earlier this year I paid off the card and hadn't used it but I had to use it last week and it added a balance on my card for $650 so there was no min payment due because I used the card after the credit report update but I was going to make a payment on it anyhow so I would have to worry about anything but when I went into my account it was literally a 24 hour difference that my class was reduced by $1200 so I called and no one wanted to tell me what happened and when I asked for a manager on duty to speak to I got a run around before someone got on the phone I told them after they gave me run around that I wanted to get a call back asap on Monday morning 11/19/18 9ampt to have someone tell me what happened I tell you what even though I've had the card for a long time after I pay off the balance I'll call this line of credit for sure

This card has the worst customer service. I've been with them for over 4 years and lately have been trying to get a credit increase (currently @ $10,000.00) to lower my credit usage. Currently was at 14% usage and after they pulled my credit score (730 fico with no negative no late payments) they lowered my credit limit to $1,800.00 due to applying for few better cards with lower apr. They lowered my credit limit by $8,200.00 and they didn't even notify me they had lowered my credit limit until I noticed my credit usage went way up which lowered my fico score. I called Barclays and they basically said they wouldn't do anything since I've been looking for lower interest cards even though I've been with them for 4 years with no missed payments. Worst credit card company I've ever dealt with and so I cancel the card and will never get another card from them again. I'm surprised they are in business treating their loyal customers this way.

Don't apply for this card if you have lots of other cards! I got approved initially for 7000 CL. After one year they reviewed my account and credit report and sent me a letter saying my CL had been reduced to 3700. Even though my credit score is 718 with no late payments to anyone and pay more than the minimum payment on all accounts! I called customer service twice and got the same answer...too many credit cards with balances. They said they would consider restoring my original credit limit if I would pay off and close some of my other cards. Customer service was friendly so I gave them 3 stars for that.

Before I got this card, I had 2 secured cards. One is the First Progress ($300 limit) and the other was a Cap One ($300) limit as well. This is finally my first unsecured no annual fee card and will be using this going forward.
My aim is to build up my credit to a higher score (over 700) and get another unsecured card or two. Then I will cancel the 2 secured cards and avoid paying their annual fee.

I got a 700 score when I applied and got approved for $500. I was actually quite surprised by this. I called recon line with no luck. Thinking back, it could be the charge off and collection I had on an old Orchard Bank card which I have finally paid off a year ago. That could be the reason why my limit was so low.

After having this card for 2 years, I would say that this would be a great card if you really are a football fan and you use points for things like jerseys and even tickets for your team. Sometimes, tickets are to be gotten for 20k points and if you have them available, that saves you quite a bit.
Having been given a low limit, I got a CLI after 1 year to $3k. So I have no complaints.

Am giving this a three star because though I think the card is good, it is not for everybody. I am also not sure that most NFL fans would want their 'team' card. Having said that, there appears to be a lot of folks who view this card as a good one to build credit.

I got this card because I am a huge football fan and I buy a lot of stuff from nfl.com and nfl stores. For me, it is an opportunity to earn reward points to save money on future purchases. The 20% discount is also a huge help. For those who do not shop a lot at nfl stores, I really do not see the point of getting this card though from the reviews I've read, it seems like a good card to get your score up.
Had a mid 600 score and got a $1500 CL. I have had 3 other cards for the last 2 years and have paid on time and in full. Utilization is low at about 25%. I got into trouble a few years ago and the last 2 years have been in a clean up mode.

One thing I have found out about Barclays Bank is that they are very particular over the number of inquiries that you have had. I got a $500 CL with a 630ish type score.
I called to get for a CLI since my other cards give me at least 3k limit. But I was denied because the CSR said that I had too many inquiries. Yes, it is true that I had tried to apply for 6 cards within the last 9 months (a couple were not successful).
I think to get the best chance of a good CL, you need to not apply for any credit for at least 6 months.

I initially got a $600 CL which I was quite pissed about considering that my score was in the low to mid 700s. But after 6 months, my I had a CLI to $4000.
It appears to me that Barclays was simply checking me out. I did use my card and paid off my balance every month and on time. I guess they figured I would be a good customer (although having said that, other issuers like Amex and Chase have been much more generous with their CL when I applied).

I cannot believe this. I have a mid to high 700 score and got only $2k in CL. My other cards with Amex, Chase and Discover all gave me at least $7k (my lowest CL). This is simply ridiculous. Got the bonus, and used it for a jersey and I am done with this card. I have read other comments here and at other forums. I can understand that folks with lesser score get the $500 to $1000 CL level. But for me, this is a joke.

I applied for this card when my score was around 638 and got a $500 CL. Got my sign up bonus pretty quickly and have been paying off my bills on time all the time.
