It's been almost 2 years, still haven't been upgraded. Called multiple times with no success. My overall credit limits are around 30k, working in IT, paying on time and in full every month. It feels like Wells Fargo just targeting asylum seekers and probably some other unprotected groups, as I've heard same stories from people in similar situations.

I called Wells Fargo before I applied for this card. I was told that if I paid on time, I could be eligible for a graduation to an unsecured credit card as earlier as 6 months. I got the card and deposited $300. After 6 months, nothing happened. I called CSR and was told to "be patient". Well, it's been a year and still nothing. Meanwhile, my scores have improved and I already have 2 other unsecured cards with $3000 and $5000 limits and I even had a CLI on one of them. I'll give Wells 3 more months and if nothing happens, I am cancelling the card.

I had a checking account with Wells Fargo and was encouraged by the bank officer to get a secured credit card to help build my credit. They said that if I paid on time and manage the card well, there is a good chance that I can be upgraded to an unsecured card. It's been three years and I still have not been upgraded. I have even called customer service but no luck. I have always paid on time so I do not understand why I still have this card.

In the meantime, other banks are approving me with limits of $5000 to $10000!
