My Transunion got a -3 hit hard inquiry for this approval, but it was worth it. My Transunion score was at 624 before I applied. I was instantly approved for a $500 limit. I'm hoping for credit increases to come often! :-)

The interest rate is high but there is no annual fee. My scores are a little all over the place. Experian and Tu has them at slightly above 700 whereas equifax score is about 597 (so I would say 670 is the rough average?).
Got this 2 years after bk7 discharge but I have had an auto loan for a while which I have always paid on time. Guess this really helps.

I find that the rewards boost is perhaps the most underrated feature of this card. I cannot find another card with 2X points on utilities except this one. For the rewards booster, you sometimes get 6X points on places like sears.com, home depot etc. I have a discover card and many times, Barclays beats their shopdiscover.

My Bk was filed in 2008 and discharged in 2009. It's been a long while but I have not been religiously rebuilding my credit until the last 3 years. My score was about 662 when I finally applied and was surprised to get a $2300 CL (after reading about other people's experience here and elsewhere).
With my CL, I am able to pay my utilities, gas and grocery bills while staying within a reasonable utilization ratio with this card.

I have been trying my best to rebuild my credit since my BK7 3 years ago. I have got a secured card from Cap One and I was really happy that I got approved from this card for $1300. I have been using it and paying in full every month. 5 months after I got it, I got an automatic increase to $2600 (double). After slightly over a year, I requested a $1500 increase and was approved. I believe they pull transunion FYI.

I am 19 months out of BK when I applied and got approved for this card. CL was initially at $1300. 6 months in, I got a $1000 CLI to $2300. The after about a year, I got another increase to $3500. Love this card and the rewards, especially on utilities (which I autopay with) and gas.

Cap One Secured : $300
Cap One Prestige: $600
Walmart: $300
Barclaycard Rewards Mastercard: $1300
Got approved for this 2 years out of BK7. Started off with the secured card from Cap One and you can see from above how I progressed.

I got approved for this card 7 months of out BK. When I was discharged, I immediately applied for a Cap One secured and put the $300 deposit down. Score improved to the high 600s quickly and this is my first unsecured card. I was surprised about the approval but I guess I am on the right track in terms of rebuilding.
That aside, the rewards are absolutely great. I autopay my utilities and make sure I use the card at gas stations and at the grocery store.

I got this card when my score was 650 (which I consider quite good). I was given a $1300 line.
What I really like about the card is the rewards. It posts almost immediately. Here is how I roughly earn those 2X points. My cable bill is about $120. Cell phone bills is about $150. Utilities is about $180. Groceries is about $600. So in total I spend about $1050 on the 2X items, which means I get back about $21. Not too shabby as I have to pay for these items anyway.

I damaged my credit years ago. When I look back, my rebuilding process kind off followed the usual script. I first got a secured card. For me, it was from Capital One. I paid the $300 deposit and that was my card for close to 9 months. Then I ventured into unsecured territory, but got the ones that came with high fees. First Premier was the card I got. I made sure I paid in full and on time so that I do not get dinged with those high interest rates. After a few months with that, I graduated to store cards. Got a couple and cancelled the FP soon after.
This card is my first 'proper' no annual fee unsecured card that is not a store visa. Got approved for $500 and score was about 663. After going through the First Premier, having 2X on gas, groceries and utilities is simply wonderful. Website is good. And the FICO score from TU is great as well.
To those who are in the rebuilding phase like I was, just hang it tight, pay your bills on time and in full, keep your utilization rate low and you will get close to prime sooner or later.

First off, let me start by saying that this card has been good to me. I really like the rewards, the free fico score and the website, which is really intuitive.
When I applied, my score was about 675 and I got approved for $1200. I made it a habit of always paying my bills in full and obviously on time. After 6 months, I logged into my account and was pleasantly surprised when I found out that my credit line has been increased by $1500 to $2700.
I am very excited about it and the card in general and would recommend this highly.

I am 3 years into the process of rebuilding my credit (that is another story). I started off getting a cap one secured card and deposited $300. After a year, I tried getting an unsecured card. I first shot was at First Premier. Got approved for $300 CL but fees were killing me. After a few months, I tried Cap One Prestige and got approved for $500. I have had this combination for quite a while but was really sick and tired to paying the FP fees. So I bit the bullet and applied for this card after reading lots of reviews. I am happy to say that I got approved for $2500. Once I got the card and have used it a bit, I canceled my First Premier.
What I like about this card is that I use it for gas (I drive), groceries and I also autopay my utilities. I also appreciate the free fico (TU) scores and I like monitoring them.

My score was in the high 500s and low 600s (call it 595) when I applied. I got a $500 CL. After 6 months of timely payments, I received a CLI to $1500. I was really over the moon about this. I continued to use this as my main primary card and really am expecting another credit line increase soon. My scores have steadily climbed and is not about close to 700.
I monitor them closely with the free TU scores provided. The rewards are really good as well.

I have been recently discharged from a bankruptcy and was looking to get a secured card to get going on rebuilding my credit. Cap One and Wells Fargo were the ones I was considering. Then, I came upon this card and after reading the reviews here and elsewhere, decided to give it a shot.
I got approved for $1500! Which literally floored me and shocked me! Got an unsecured card and so here I am, off to rebuilding my scores. Barclays rock.

I guess you can consider me a middle aged person now. My credit was damaged after the financial crisis in 2008. I have not really applied for credit until a year ago when I decided that it was time to rebuild my score.
I started off with a Cap One secured card with a $300 deposit. I used it and paid off each bill in full and on time every month. I also took out a small auto loan and have always paid on time as well.
I did not really expected to be approved for a no annual fee card so soon but Barclays approved me for $1200. I have been paying my bills on time and in full as well and right now, my score has improved to the low 600s. I hope that I can get my score up to 700 soon.
The rewards are quite good (especially the utilities). And the points post very quickly after you charge it to the card.

I am actually very happy with this card and Barclays Bank. I got pre-approved mails 2 years after BK discharge. When I applied, my score was about 700 and I got approved for $700. I called CSR and got the line upped to $1200.
What I like about this card is that once I earn $2500, I get it to automatically apply to a statement credit. Simple.
