Like most American Express Cards, this one comes with various travel benefits and insurance benefits. In this part of our review, we will look at them in closer detail.
- $100,000 Travel Accident Insurance - Whenever you book a trip with this card, you will automatically get $100,000 worth of travel accident insurance that is valid from the port of departure to arrival. The coverage is good for the card paying member, his or her spouse or domestic partner and dependent children.

Baggage Insurance - The coverage for carry-on baggage is $1,250 for each 'covered person' for each 'covered trip'. For checked in baggage, the coverage is up to $500 for replacement cost. Bicycles that are checked-in are considered checked baggage.
For high risk items, the coverage is up to $250. They include jewelry, sporting equipment, photographic equipment and computers and audio visuals. - Roadside assist - This card also provides roadside assist (for those of you who are not AAA members). You can use the roadside assist four times a year and get $50 in coverage per call. Services provided include towing, flat tire change, lock out, and delivery of up to two gallons of fuel!
- Global Assist - Like most Amex cards, you also get a Global Assist hotline. If you are more than 100 miles from your home, you can use the service for referrals to legal, medical and translation help and services.
