We all know that credit bureaus do make mistakes and that there might be errors in your credit report. You might have the same name as someone else. Or a collection might still be in there though the statute of limitations have been reached. Or the collection agency forgot to tell the bureaus that the debt has been paid up.

We get it. Mistakes do happen. And we have been told that the fix is relatively easy. Just write to the the credit bureaus and if there is no proof of a negative or incorrect item within 30 days, they must remove it.
