This was my first Amex card. Got it straight out of college after I got my first job. Love the rewards and customer service. When I got approved, my score was about 683 (EQ).

Just got this card. It was not an instant approval and I had to wait a few days. My score TU was about 710. Had a couple of 30 day late payments a few years ago. Thought I might not get approved, but finally was. Am glad I now have an Amex.

Got a pre-approved mail in the box. Thought that I would never be approved. But I was! I love Amex CS compared to Chase and BOA (also have their cards). I have always been tempted to upgrade to the Gold version, but have stuck to this card for better or worse.

Please note during 2092 - 1990 (108 Dolphin Square, SW1V 3NY & Turners Reach, 9 Chelsea Embankment, SW3) I held a Black, Gold, Silver & Green American Express Cards.

During 2003. My wife and I couldn’t resell our home in N6 2LL - Oak Tree Cottage, Hampstead Lane because real estate was suffering from housing crisis influenced by an Illegal War in Iraq which effected many businesses and home!

With the utmost respect:

This Black American Express card holder last statement was £12,500 GBP and this invoice was paid in full!

Life has changed from earning £100,000 Per Annum (2002-1996).

MDCG honoured conditions and met expectations.

Banks are in debt by the time of £1,500,000,000,000 (Mr Bloom & Mr Hitchens).

USA. Owes China £7,000,000,000,000

DVLA have known my addresses 39 Years, UK Passport, Full UK driving Licences for a Motorcycle and Motorbike.

On the council electoral register.

Worked for Bennison Limited (2003-1985) and will be honoured and shall respect opening a clean account with American Express.

May I become a new member of American Express?

Approved with 635 EX which is what AMEX pulls. Earned 25,000 points after spending $1,000 in the first 3 months, which is equivalent to $250 gift card to Neiman Marcus or wherever. NO Complaints so far.

I randomly was sent a card from american express with my name and information on how to active the card i thought it was junk mail but it wasn't i haven't applied for any cards in over 3 years and also have a security freeze on my report so im not sure how i received the card or why I always wanted one but felt i didn't have good enough credit for one. So im not sure how it happened but i guess it was a good thing it did

I have been waiting to be an Amex member since I was a little girl watching my mother use it! Credit Karma said I had very good odds of getting it, did some research about it and applied for 2 (Blue Cash Everyday and the Green) I got them both instantly! I am so excited I can barely stand it.

I been thinking about applying for the American Express Green Card for years, but someone told me your score need to be in the 800's to get APPROVED! So just said I'm not there yet to apply. But I begin reading how people got approved with scores lower then mine. I applied online and got APPROVED WITH NO LIMIT!!!!! Don't listen to people check for yourself!!!!

So I decided to add a review since this site recently helped me calm my nerves after needing to apply for a corporate green AMEX. I was so nervous because after applying for a job, getting it, and then having to worry about the credit approval process. Of course! Knowing that AMEX only uses Experian and that credit reporting bureau will not furnish your true FICO score upon request and instead give you a Vantagescore which is misleading. I decided to hunt around and TU will give you a FICO score. Save your money on a credit report from the bureau and read these reviews. Real people with real results! I was approved this morning. Hope this review calms some nerves :)

For an average credit score of 687. I was surprised to receive an offer to apply for the American Express Green Card, and got approved in less then 60 seconds. Yes, it is not a credit card, but a charge prestige card. Connected to one of my checking accounts? The money awaits there automatically to be taken out at due date, with me not to worry. The benefits is not compared to any other bank cards. This is a great charge card, for travel and booking my hotels, rental cars and flights, through AMEXTRAVEL and enjoy double points, with no blackout dates Guaranteed. Just what I wanted for many years, finally came through. Thank you AMEX!

Got the pre-approve mail and went for it. I have always been adverse to paying annual fee (which is why I have always resisted getting the Amex charge card). But after looking at the mail, I just went for it. Card came about a couple of weeks later. I am not too sure if I prefer this to my Discover card. But I have kept it since.

I have been with Amex over 20 years. I do not actually have this card now. I actually have the Platinum card right now and have had it for over 7 years. All I can say is that this card has helped me tremendously over the years and I like the fact that I have to pay in full. Customer service could not be better.

I used to have the Gold version. The only benefit that comes with that card was the events that were sponsored by Amex and you got priority notice. But it is a feature I seldom use. Since everything else is the same, I actually downgraded to the Green version. Customer service has always been top notch. I once lost my card while traveling, called Amex and a new card was shipped immediately to the hotel where I was staying.

After working for 10 years, I decided to get the Amex green since my company provides me with the corporate card (the green one). Got approved instantly. I now link my MR accounts. With the business travel with my company, the points sure add up very fast.

Have had this card for the last 15 years. Only have another card from Citi. Love the card and the service from Amex. I've looked closely at the gold and platinum card but decided against them. All the cards earn 1X points and in my opinion, the rewards are identical. So why pay more in annual fees?

My credit was trashed years ago. It went as low as 500s. Foreclosure was the reason. But I have steadily improved my score til this point. Prior to getting approved, I actually tried to get a couple of Amex cards but was not approved. I applied for the Gold and was denied. Also applied for a Costco and also denied. I thought I'd little chance for this card but get approved. Guess I'm now part of the Amex family?

was toying between getting the gold and this one (the green). But I ultimately chose the green because of the lower annual fee and the fact that I was not a traveler. I just wanted to get an Amex charge card. Love the card and the customer service is simply top notch.

Here is my situation prior to getting this card, this was the background. Existing cards are Orchard Secured with $300 limit and a Cap One with $500 limit. I had a 30 day late on an installment about one year ago and had 2 60 day late on an installment 4 years ago (which has been paid off). I applied for the Chase Freedom and this card. Got approved for the Chase after recon ($800 limit). Also got approved for Green (yeah!)

I got approved for this card when my FICO was about 680. My EQ was 660 and TU was 655. Prior to this card, I also had a Lowes card and a Well Fargo secured. Have no prior BK, baddies or collections. I hope that helps whoever is reading this. Have gotten quite a lot from this site so wanted to give back.
