I got this card during my junior year and perhaps on hindsight, I should have gotten it earlier. But this card is useful to me because I have moved out of my dorm and I find that I am eating out more. The 2% cash back on "restaurant" help me earn more cash back.

Like others have said here, the website is user friendly and I never had any problems with payments on this card. Also, I do like it that I can check my fico score.

Discover gave me a $1000 limit when they approved me. Now, after a few months, they gave me a credit limit increase of $500.

The gas and restaurant cash back is definitely useful to me.

This was the first card I applied. I was given a $500 limit. Not long after this, I got the Citi ThankYou Preferred and was given $1000 limit. Then Capital One Journey gave me a $1000 limit as well. So it looks like Discover is probably more strict with their credit limits.

But their website and free fico score is better than the other two.

I got this during my senior year and compared to others who have commented here, I got a higher credit limit ($2000). It was probably based on the income I reported from my internship. After six month, I got a $300 CLI.

Customer service is definitely top-notch compared to the Citi and Cap One that I have.

I originally got the IT card. But then I decided that the chrome rewards would be a better fit for me. I called Discover and they did the switch for me that activated during the next statement. Their customer service is simply the best.

Had this card in my college years and have just graduated. I simply PC'ed my card to the regular Discover Chrome.

You can call them, message them or do the online chat. Discover simply has the best customer service. They have helped me build up my credit history and saved me the hassle of getting another credit card once I graduated.

This is a great card to get when you are in college. The rewards are great. The app is also very good. You could pay through it, even use your cash back to pay - all from the app. After 3 months, they increased my credit limit.

I am an international student. I applied for this card and got approved. But I had to provide information like copies of my passport, SSN, school transcripts. This would be a 5 star if not for the low starting limit.

I am an international student. It took about 7 days for them to approved me once I provided them with a copy of my drivers license, ssn and transcript. I got a $500 limit.

Card is good and the app is very user friendly.

This is perhaps the best student credit card IMO. I am a full time student with a part-time job and income. My TU fico score was 720 when I applied. I also have about 5 cards from other companies. I guess Discover did not care about that as they approved me for $4000. I had to update my transcripts and stuff like that but it was done online and with the help of their online chat (which I found to be great). You could also use your cash rewards almost immediately after it posts. I have a BOA card that took a full billing cycle for it to register. Their app is also great.

Give this card a try and I think you will be pleasantly surprised. From the threads here, I can see that I got a slightly higher limit than most. I suspect it is my credit score and also due to my part-time income.

Discover approved me even though my credit history is about 11 months. I am a full-time student with a part-time job making $10,000 a year. I was given a $1000 limit. They also give a $50 referral bonus to you and the person you referred. I referred my room mate and we both got $50!

Applied online and was approved instantly. A buddy told me to use my school's .edu email to avoid having to submit any transcript or proof that I was in college. I think that worked.

This was my second card. My first one was a Capital One secured which I deposited $200. My score has improved to about 690 when I applied for Discover. I was approved instantly for $1000.

Got this during my senior year and having already applied for and approved for 3 cards. I work part-time too so I have "income". I was given a rather generous $3000 limit. Among all the cards I have, I would say that this one is probably the best. Their online chat is super helpful. In fact, I never had to make a phone call at all. Their app is great as well. And your rewards also post immediately and you can redeem them so easily from your app.

This is my first card which I got midway through my freshman year. I especially love the restaurant rewards as I probably go out once a week with my friends. The website and app are easy to use. I also love the fact that I can monitor my credit score.

This is my second card, which I got during my sophomore year. I wish I had gotten it during my freshman year (got the wells fargo). Discover's customer service is the best. It certainly was way better than Wells. The rewards are good and the website is user friendly as well (like others have commented).

I really like that I can see my fico score and monitor it. I intend to always pay on time and I am sure I will see my score rise.

I got this card in my sophomore year. During my freshman year, I got the capital one journey. Both gave me a $500 limit. I like the rewards on gas. I also find their customer service better. They pick up the phone faster and they managed to resolve a couple of issues easily. I had a late payment once and also lost my card.

The website is user friendly and so is the mobile app. Payment is never an issue since there are so many ways to pay your bills.

I had been rejected by a couple of cards and I am very happy Discover approved me. The customer service is really great. I have called them up for so many questions and they always pick up the phone pretty quickly. I was late once and they waived the late fee. I can also check my credit score every time I log into the account.

Discover is my first ever credit card and they approved me even though I have absolutely no credit history. I love their website and mobile app. Sometimes I pay online and sometimes I pay over the phone. There never has been a problem. The rewards are also very good. I also love the fact that I can check my credit score when I want to.

This is my first card which I got during my freshman year. My experience has been great so far. I love the 2% rewards. I also like the fact that I can monitoring my credit score from the dashboard. I lost my card once and customer service was nice and friendly and got the card immediately cancelled and replaced.

This is a great card. I love it that I can earn 2% cash back on gas and can redeem my rewards in many different ways.

I also love their website and the fact that they allow you to pay in different ways. For example, there have been times when I paid over the phone or online and also at weird times of day.
