Like other posters here, I did not want to pay any annual fee for any card. Which is why I got this. I do fly AA a couple of times a year. Not a frequent flyer so I see not point in getting the Platinum version. The credit limit was quite generous

I got this card as a student. I think there is a student version. I got card so that I could earn some miles and hopefully earn some miles to fly home to see my parents in between semesters. But back then my credit limit was low and I did not earn enough miles to even get a free ticket! But I still have this card but do not use it too often. Customer service has been ok.

The good thing about this card is that there is no annual fee. The bad thing is you only earn one mile for every two dollars you spend on AA tickets. You also do not get the perks like reduced miles award and anniversary bonus with the higher tier cards. Citi's CSR are decent.
