I applied for this card to do a balance transfer from two credit cards that I would like to close. They asked what I would like the limit to be and then only approved me for $600. When I called underwriting they said that if I want to increase this limit they would have to do another hard pull. The first pull on my credit report was worthless so I’m not going to have them do another one just to be bumped up to a still too-low number. They should have just denied my application to begin with. I will be calling back to cancel the card.

I was happy with this card at first because I got a fairly decent credit limit. The only mistake I made was not setting up auto pay. That one late payment caused my APR to skyrocket and although my credit score was 765, it has dropped quite a bit.

There isn't much special about this card but I got it with a 0% APR for 12 months. I've had some minor problems with my credit in the past so this gave me a chance to build and transfer my balance from a different card. I have a bank account with US Bank so it might explain why I wasn't approved for cards with other banks.

Well I'm not happy because after I got the card without an annual fee, they added an annual fee. I am in the process of building my credit so didn't want to cancel the card. Plus I have a balance. I just think they should've told me from the beginning that there would be an annual fee.

I was shocked to be approved for the card so the limit didn't bother me. I had a secured card with US Bank first though.
I paid on that card and just charged little things every month and then paid the balance in full. I have also had a checking and savings account with US Bank for a couple years. I have always had great customer service experiences. I am glad US Bank is giving me a chance to increase my credit rating.

This was my first credit card and since then I have built up a better credit rating. I haven't experienced anything very special about the US Bank Visa and prefer to use my Chase Freedom since I can get cash back. I know US Bank has other cards that let you earn cash back, but it doesn't make this one any more exciting.

I've had this card for a while and I admittedly don't use it often but you would think after years of banking with US Bank and paying my card off on time, they would increase my credit limit. Unfortunately, they haven't so that's why I keep using my other cards instead.

I like this card because it's simple and no annual fee except they are really big on security. It seems like recently every purchase has to be verified and I have to call to prove it's me making the purchase. This is fine and I get it, but it can be embarrassing when you are eating out or shopping.

I haven't had any problems with this card. In fact, I was first approved for only 10,000 so I called and asked for an increase and they raised it to 15000. So far it's a great card.

I am a college student working on building credit and even though I've had a bank account with US Bank for years I could not get approved for anything. I even applied for the secured card. I've never heard of anyone being denied a secured card. But anyway, I called to ask and then I was transferred and people were supposed to get back to me. I was finally approved for this card with a very low limit. I am just not happy with the process I had to go through. Like, why didn't they just approve it in the first place

All I am going to say is do not ever ever have a late payment. I was hoping when I accidentally missed I could stop them from reporting but I couldn't. This card was to help me build my credit and it seems to have made it worse. I don't know what to do now except keep paying on it with no late payments and hope they increase my limit some day.

My husband and I make about 150,000 a year and have banked with US bank for 10 years. I have nothing but great things to say about US Bank. I have a car loan, a checking account, a savings account, and a bunch of their cards. Always had great customer service and they always seem to be willing to work with us when we need something. When I got this card I got a 0% APR and no annual fee. I don't care for all of the bells and whistles that other cards have.

Whatever you do, don't travel with this card. My purchases overseas were often blocked and I had to call because apparently card holders don't typically travel. PLUS there is a foreign transaction fee whether you use US dollars or any other currency.

Maybe I don't make enough money with US Bank but I don't get where everyone is getting these glowing reviews for their customer service. I haven't had any problems with the card itself, but I am giving US Bank a 1 star for bad customer service.
I can give you a long list of experiences from blocking my card and having to speak with unhelpful reps that make me wait days to unlock to just plain rudeness when I call. I have even gone into the branch nearby and have been promised phone calls while they check on stuff that I never got. I dont know maybe it depends on your location?
Bottome line: I don't like their customer service.

Woo hoo. I can't believe I was approved but I was. I am building credit and it used to be a lot worse than it is now. I am paying on some collection accounts that my dumb girlfriend ran up but I am going to make sure I pay this card in full every month. Just goes to show you should try to apply if you can because you never know. I was also told that they might increase the credit limit later if I manage the card wisely which is what I am going to do.

I like the card. True, it isn't a great card to use for traveling because of the foreign transaction fee, but that's why I have other TRAVEL cards to use for those purchases. You really have to consider your own situation and what you'll use the card for. And for God's sake, with any card, make sure you pay your payments on time. Don't be foolish.

I was approved for a decent APR of 10.99%, which is way better than the APR on one of my wife's cards so we transferred that balance to the 0% on this one. Our credit is okay, but we are trying to pay some things down and buy a house. I am happy with the Visa Platinum thus far.

I got this offer in the mail. I sent in the application via snail mail and had to wait for the 7-10 day wait message. Was eventually sent an email telling me that I was approved. I do bank with them so that helps quite a bit. I got a 9 months no interest deal and 17.99% apr after that. Most of my other cards are in the 20.99 to 22.99% range so this is fine by me.

I got my US Bank Platinum about two year ago. Was approved for a $2K limit and 0% Intro deal. After 6 months, the APR shot up to 23.99%. I was told that you could request for a CLI after 6 months which will result in a soft pull. I got declined but will continue to try to get my lines increase

I have had a checking account with US Bank and applied for this card in the bank itself and received a $9,500 CL. Before I applied for this, I already had a secured card with US Bank. I told the bank officer that once I got approved, I wanted to cancel the secured card (and save on the annual fee and free up the deposit I had with them). My score was about 735 and like I said before, I have a US Bank checking account for a few years and my w2 gets deposited in the account.

Was originally approved for a $3,000 CL. But I wanted more. So I called US Bank today with a CLI request. Luckily for me, I was approved for a $2,000 increase from $3,000 to $5,000. They used the original report so new report was pulled. .

I was going on a app spree and decided to get this card. Already got the Chase Sapphire Preferred and Amex Premier Rewards already. I got instantly approved for both and thought it would be the same for US Bank. But I got the 7-10 business day wait message and decided to call them up to check. The automated message said I was approved. A week later (after the card arrived), I found out that my CL was only 1k! Perhaps it is because my score was 668 (they pulled TU). But I had much larger lines with Chase so CL is puzzling for me to say the least.

I had received an invitation from usb. Applied and was denied. Then I received another mail invitation about a month later. Tried my luck again and this time, they approved. CL is $500 (WTF) and a 12 month 1.99% intro rate. There is no rewards with this card and I have been simply using this card sparingly as I have other cards with higher limits.
