I applied for regular sheetz visa and got the 7-10 day message. Then I found out I was denied. But then a couple of weeks later, I got an email to sign up for their secured credit card. I do use Sheetz stations a lot so I thought this would be a good way to rebuild my credit and save some money on gas. I was approved and deposited $300. Got the card two weeks later.
After using my card for about a month, I checked my credit reports and sure enough, it was reported as secured. I also checked their website and it turns out that I will be considered for an unsecured card after 11 months. We'll see what happens.

5 months ago I applied for the Sheetz Visa but was denied and offered the secured card instead. I did not bother cos I really did not want a secured credit card. But just the other day, I decided to give the Sheetz secured card a shot and I was approved. I deposited $500 and everything has been good so far. You have to use the credit card together with the MySheetzCard to save 8 cents per gallon at their stations. The love that I can check my FICO score on their site. It is a pretty cool feature. I'll be the happiest guy when my score hits 700 again.

While I was researching secured cards, I came across the usual suspects but was surprised to find out that FNBO had both the Best Western and Sheetz secured card. There are lots of Sheetz station where I live. I use them and already have the My Sheetz Card. So decided to apply for this card since this will save me 8 cents per gallon rather than just 3 cents.
The really good news is that after 13 months, they graduated me to the regular Sheetz Visa. My deposit was refunded.

Love my sheetz secured card. Before this, I was turned down by Citi and Wells Fargo. But this has turned out to be the better card cos I actually save money at Sheetz stations. I am in a rebuilding mode so I set my payments to autopay. The website is easy to use and I like that you can check your FICO score. I hope to graduate to an unsecured card (which on their website they say they'll review your account after 11 months).

A nasty divorce left my credit in shambles. In my research of how folks rebuild their credit, I was pretty sure that I was going the secured route. And I also discovered that there were some secured cards that came with reward programs like Discover, Sheetz, Best Western, AeroMexico and some other airline cards from US Bank. Since I am not a traveler, I chose the Discover IT and Sheetz secured cards. I was approved for both.
I have had good experiences with both. They have easy to use apps and I can check my FICO score. Since I live in an area with lots of Sheetz station, I also get to save money on gas. It has been 8 months now. I've read that folks have graduated to unsecured for both these cards. Keeping my fingers crossed. My scores have also gone up like 70 points so all is going well so far.

I have been told that FNBO is hard to get into and I think there is some truth in that. My score was about 615 when I applied and got rejected for the regular Sheetz Visa. I got offered the secured card instead. I decided to accept that because I really wanted a card to save some money on gas (since I use Sheetz). They are a proper issuer with a proper website, auto-payments and free FICO scores.
After 14 months, I graduated to their unsecured card. Deposit was returned and credit limit was increased by $300 to $600.

What a great find this card was. In fact, I did not know that Sheetz had a secured card. I tried applying for their regular card and thought that if I did not get the Visa then I would be given the "store gas card". I was denied and offered the secured card instead. I was quite hesitant but decided to apply and was approved. I put in $600 in deposit cos I wanted to maintain a low utilization ratio and I know that I spend about $100 on gas a month.
The customer service is great and the website is also good. You can check your FICO score and also set up autopay. If you use the card alone, you save 5 cents a gallon. You should actually get their My Sheetz Card and together with this card, you save 8 cents a gallon.

I applied for the regular Sheetz Visa and was denied. A couple of weeks later, I got an email with another offer. It looked the same but after reading carefully, I realized they were offering me a secured card. I applied anyway and was approved. I put down $500 and every month, I charge about $200 to the card. I set up for auto pay and pay in full every month.
After 13 months, I graduated. They returned the deposit and my new credit limit was $1000. My FICO score went up from 574 to 650 within one year. (this was the score given by FNBO).

I am in a rebuilding mode. Decided to get this card while I was looking at their website and found out that Sheetz actually had a secured card. There are lots of Sheetz stations where I live and I used them so it was quite a no brainer for me. I also have a capital one secured and I found that both these cards are good and they are legit companies.

Out here in Pennsylvania, Sheetz stations are common and so it was quite a no brainer to go with this card since I am rebuilding. I spend about $100 on gas a month and that is all I put on the card together with my netflix account. I have it all set on auto pay so I would not miss a payment. I like that I can check my credit score with them and this has come in very handy. They are also good at reporting and I found out that they reported to all three bureaus after I got my first statement.

I got this card, along with Cap One and Discover It to build my credit. After I was approved, card took about 10 days to arrive. All three cards I have give some sort of credit score. I understand that Sheetz and Discover give the real FICO score while Cap One uses some Vantage score. Regardless, it is good to be able to monitor where you stand and if you are improving. I would recommend this card. However, it will only make sense if you live in an area where there are sheetz stations.
