I just got the Self secured credit card and unlike the past, you do not need a Self credit builder installment loan account. I simply funded the card and that was it. So far everything is great. The only issue I have is that payment takes up to 5 days to post.

I have the Self secured credit card (with $150 CL), a Mission Lance cc with $1,500 CL and a Strong credit builder installment loan ($1,000). My scores are around 690 and I am just trying to get them up above 700. So far, I have no problems with Self or any of the other two companies.

I got the Self credit builder first and then proceeded to get the secured credit card after 5 payments. What worked well for me was the autopay feature where you just simply set it up and it works like a charm.

I have used the Self card for over two years and it has helped me improve my credit score from 500 to 680. I also learned the importance of keeping my credit utilization ration below 30%.

I first got the Self loan then the Self secured card. Before the term of the loan was up (one year), I got an unsecured personal loan from my credit union. Hence I closed out the Self loan and my Self card as well. While Self isn't designed to be a long-term solution, both the Self credit builder and credit card definitely helped me in the early stages of my credit rebuilding journey.

I used the Self Lender program to build my credit as a teenager and as a result, I managed to get a fantastic interest rate on my car loan. I also signed up for the secured credit card using the original money that was put into the CD as the secure deposit. This is now my oldest card and oldest account (3 years). I started with a $500 deposit in the card and to my surprise, I have been getting credit limit increases monthly (for a total CLI of $950). So now my total credit limit is $1450.

I have the Self secured visa credit card for about 6 months now. For the most part is pretty good. My only issue is that when I pay my balance it takes up 5 business days for it to post.

I've had a Self VISA card for about 10 months. Then, Self started gave me $75 unsecured credit in addition to my $500 secured which I transferred from my Self builder account. Today I received an alert from Self today for another $75 unsecured increase!! This is just wonderful

I have the self visa card and to be honest I’m not impressed. The payment takes forever to post and so far it has only reported to Equifax.
