The Reflex Mastercard (issued by Continental Finance) has a mobile app for both Android and IOS that allows their cardholders to manage their credit card account on their mobile phobes. In this review, I will highlight what you can accomplish on the mobile app and also it's limitations.
The Reflex Mobile App started off very basic and has shown incremental improvements over time. You should expect to see incremental improvements over time as well. So here is what you can do with the app.
Overview of Reflex Credit Card Mobile App and What It Allows You To Do
Overall View of Your Credit Card on one page
On the "home page", you can see your minimum balance, Payment due date, statement balance and recent activities.
View Recent Transactions
As you see in the screen shot above, there is a tab on the home page where you can see your recent transactions. However, many have lamented that the transactions do not show immediately or the amount may show but not the merchant. One workaround to see the latest transaction is to log out and log back into your app again (which is quite inconvenient).
Making Payments from the app
You can also make payments from your mobile app. With the app, you have to use your checking account and you cannot use your debit card (even though it is the debit card of your checking account). To make a payment from your app, you simply click on the make the payment tab. You are given a choice to pay the full balance, minimum payment or other amounts. You can then choose the bank account that you want to use. To avoid repeatedly filling in your bank account number and routing number, you should "set up" your bank account in the app. You can set up more than one bank account if you plan to use more than one account to pay your bills. At this moment, you cannot set up autopay from your app though the app will tell you if you have autopay enabled. You have to set up autopay from your desktop portal.

Biometrics and Face ID
The Continental Finance App now has biometrics and Face ID login. Having said that, some users complain that it does not work well on their phones or it stops working when the app upgrades to a new version or if they change their phones. These issues are normally resolved over time by their IT developers.Alerts and Notifications
- statement available
- credit card payment due date
- payment post to account
- credit limit reached or exceeded
- balance exceeds threshold
- balance is within a specified amount of your credit limit

What the App Cannot Do
Cannot use debit card to pay on mobile app - You cannot use your debit card to pay from your app even if the debit card is from your checking account. To pay via your debit card, you have to pay over the phone.
Cannot show 2 cards on the same app - Reflex is a card issued by Continental Finance (which has other cards). Some folks have other CF cards as well and found out that they need two separate logins to manage two different cards. This, in my opinion, is a huge oversight on the part of the IT developers and they should fix this.
Cannot freeze card from mobile app - This is a feature that many mainstream credit card issuers have in their app which the Reflex app does not.
No Live Chat or direct call to customer service from app - While they list the number to call, the number is not clickable and you cannot call directly from the app. These are very important features that are lacking in the app. I am pretty sure that over time these features will be added.
Cannot order replacement card from app - This is something that some cardholders make a fuss about. It would be a great feature to have and I am sure that over time this will be added to the app. But for now, you have to call customer service to get your card replaced.
