Question from reader : Being a new mum, I shop frequently at Toys R Us and other toy shops. Every time I go into a toys r us or any other toy shop, I see their credit card offerings. It appears tempting because I am always buying stuff for my baby and gifts for other babies as well. But, I know that sooner or later, I will stop buying toys altogether. What other cards would allow me to earn reward points for places like Toys R Us or other baby type places without restricting me to just redeeming rewards at their store?
For Toys R US specifically, only Chase credit cards have them as a partner for gift certificates. I personally own the Chase Flexible Rewards Platinum Visa® Card card and you can redeem them for a $10 and $25 Toys R Us gift card. You will need 1,500 and 3,000 points respectively.
Citicard's ThankYou Rewards have other "baby type" merchant partners for gift cards like Baby Gap, TJ Maxx, Motherhood Maternity (you are probably past that), Banana Republic, Old Navy, American Eagle Outfitters, Marshalls,
Discover has gift card merchants like Gap, LL Bean, Land's End, Macys etc that might appeal to you.
Bank of America's Worldpoints has GAP, KB Toys, Land's End, Macy's JC Penny, Old Navy, Kohl's, Pottery Barn as their merchant partners. A card to consider may be the Bank of America Visa Signature® WorldPoints™ Rewards
