Which Starbucks Credit Card Should You Get?

Question from reader : Hi, I am a coffee and starbuck addict and I go to Starbucks everyday. I think it makes sense for me to get the Starbucks credit card that they offer at their counter. But at the same time, I do not just want to have a credit card where I can only redeem points for a Starbucks coffee. Are there any other "starbucks credit card or visa" available?

Answers : There are a few main credit card issuers in the market today. They are mainly Citibank, American Express, Bank of America, Chase and Discover. Out of these credit card issuers, Citibank, Chase and Bank of America reward program allow you to earn Starbucks gift certificates where you can exchange reward points for them. Here are the details.

ThankYou Chase WorldPoints
$5 $5 $25
$10 $10 $50
$25 $100

The ThankYou Network is the reward program for Citicards while the Worldpoints rewards is the program from Bank of America. They both allow you to redeem points for Starbucks gift certificate. The only difference is that they allow to to redeem at different levels of values. The ThankYou Rewards allow to redeem at lower levels.
