Auto Rewards Credit Cards Reviews
Guide to Auto Rewards Credit Cards
Auto Manufacturer's have always offered affinity cards to help build customer loyalty. Their ultimate hope is that by offering customers a chance to earn reward points that can then be used for the purchase of their next vehicle, they are more likely to upgrade rather than switch manufacturers. Below are the available auto credit cards in the market today.
GM used to be the largest auto manufacturer in the US (now a very close second). They have 2 credit cards. The first one being the GM Card. This card allows you to earn 5% rebates (points) on every purchase that you make on the card. These points can be redeemed for GM vehicles (up to a certain limit).
The GM Flex Card allows you to earn 3% rebates on every purchase and like the regular GM Card, allows you to redeem points for a new GM vehicle. In addition, you can exchange points for cash rebates.
The Toyota Credit Card is one of the better auto credit cards in the market today because you can earn 5 points for every dollar that you spend at Toyota dealerships. Points can be redeemed for the purchase or lease of a new or certified used Toyota.
Lexus owners can get up to 10% off their new Lexus purchase by accumulating points through the Lexus credit card. By earning 5 points at Lexus dealerships and 1.5 on other purchases, you can plan for your next Lexus purchase with this card.
The MINI credit card allows you to customize your card design. But more importantly, you can use points for your next MINI purchase or lease and even financing. This is also the only card that allows you to earn double points on car wash and bridge and toll fares.
The Subaru MasterCard allows you to earn 3 Subaru Bucks for every dollar that you spend on the card. Points can be redeemed for discounts on Subaru.
The BMW credit card is targeted at would be or present car owners of BMW. Points earned can be helped towards reducing the lease or loan of a BMW. There is also an upper tier card with a reward program that allows you to redeem points for travel and hotels.
The new Chrysler Rewards MasterCard allows you to earn 3 points for every dollar that you spend at their dealerships. These points can be redeemed for car servicing and auto parts.
The Dodge Rewards MasterCard has exactly the same rewards as the Chrysler MasterCard (what did you expect? same family of cars!). Earn 3 points for every buck spent at their dealerships and redeem them for servicing and auto parts.
Jeep belongs to the Chrysler family. Therefore this card is really a Chrysler credit card with a Jeep Design on the card. But fans of Jeep would not mind getting the Jeep Rewards MasterCard as you can use points for your servicing bills and also on new auto parts.
The Volkswagen credit card is one of the stingier auto credit cards in that you can only earn double points. These points can obviously be used towards the purchase or lease of a Volkswagen. It can also be used for servicing and auto parts.
Audi is part of Volkswagen and their credit card reward features reflect that. Like the Volkswagen Visa, the Audi Credit Card only allows you to earn double points.
