This is a real life example of a family&#8217;s credit card decision.<\/p>\n<p>I have to congratulate My Wealth Builder who has <a href=\"http:\/\/my-wealth-builder.blogspot.com\/2007\/10\/achieving-financial-freedom-retired-in.html\"> retired in his forties<\/a>. What I found interesting was how he works closely with his financial advisor, who has ran monte carlo simulations on his portfolio and looked closely at the probabilities of him maintaining his standard of living. This is clearly a more sophisticated approach than many of us have taken.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fivecentnickel.com\/2007\/10\/04\/ten-steps-for-dealing-with-a-lost-wallet\/\">10 tips for dealing with a lost wallet<\/a> by Five Cents Nickel caught my eye because of it&#8217;s catchy headline. It&#8217;s a unique post on something that sometimes happens to us.<\/p>\n<p>If a picture says a thousand words, then SVB&#8217;s Digerati Life Blog certainly says a lot. I liked this post because it depicted her real life experiences in selling her cars. The picture was the icing on the cake. Check out <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedigeratilife.com\/blog\/index.php\/2007\/09\/25\/selling-our-cars-through-the-years-7-steps-to-a-smooth-car-sale\/\">7 steps to a smooth car sale<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.milliondollarjourney.com\/how-convertible-bond-arbitrage-works-i.htm\">How convertible bond arbitrage works<\/a> by Million Dollar Journey is one of the best post I&#8217;ve come across simply because it tackles a difficult topic. Though we are hardly going to get involved in this form of investing (this is strictly hedge fund and investment bank&#8217;s trading desk territory), it&#8217;s such a refreshing change from reading the usual &#8220;investing in low cost index funds is the greatest invention since slice bread blah&#8221; that is so common in the pf bloggersphere.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As I was not able to highlight my favorite posts for the carnival due to how I presented it, here are my picks for the Editor&#8217;s Choice (in no particular order) Will consumers warm up to credit freezes?
