Rebate Formula - The Speedway Superamerica Platinum Mastercard from Chase offers a 4% rebate on any purchases made at any Speedway Superamerica stations. For the first 60 days, you can earn 8% rebate. You earn 1% rebate on all other purchases. Rebates are automatically credited towards your next Speedway Superamerica purchases.
Fees - The Speedway Superamerica Platinum Mastercard has no annual fee. You get an introductory 0% apr on both purchases and balance transfers for either 3 or 6 months depending on your credit and relationship with Chase. The apr is either prime rate plus 9.99%, 11.99% or 14.99%. The 2-cycle average daily balance method is used to calculate monthly balances.
Other Benefits - You get standard platinum credit card benefits like travel insurance of up to $500,000, purchase assurance and extended warrranty protection, roadside assistance, lost luggage insurance, zero liability on unauthorized purchases.
Verdict - Though the Chase Speedway Superamerica Platinum Mastercard pays a very good 4% rebate for any purchases made at Speedway Superamerica stations, there are other cash rebate cards that pay 5% rebates not just for gasoline purchases from any gas stations, but also purchases at groceries and drugstores. If you are considering this card because you use Speedway Superamerica for your gasoline purchases, you should also consider the The Discover® Platinum Gas Card, which pays 5% rebates on gasoline from any station.
