The Blue Cash Everyday from American Express is arguably the best grocery credit card in the market today. Why? Because you can earn 3% cash back for spending at ANY grocery. 3% is more than almost all dedicated grocery store credit cards. This is a great cash back card, and even greater for earning rebates from your everyday grocery and supermarket spending.
Grocery/Supermarket Credit Cards
The TrueEarnings® Card from Costco and American Express is the credit card for Costco members (actually Costco is strictly speaking a discount warehouse and not considered a supermarket though we buy our groceries there as well!). Unlike other grocery cards, you only earn the standard 1% rebates when you buy things from Costco. But you do earn 3% at gasoline stations and 2% rebates for dining and travel expenses. Costco also has a Costco business card version that allows you to earn 4% rebates on gasoline, 3% on dining and 2% on travel.
BJ's is Costco's rival and they also offer the BJ's credit card for their members. The card allows you to earn 2% cash back when you shop at BJ's as well as their gas station and at bjs.com.
The Ralph's Reward MasterCard allows those who shop at Ralph's stores to earn double points when they shop at their stores. Furthermore, you can also earn triple points when you buy their in house brands. You can also get 2,000 bonus points after your first purchase.
The Fred Meyer credit card allows you to earn double points when you shop at their stores. You can get a 5 cents discount when you make a gasoline purchase at their gas stations. You can get $25 off any Fred Meyer purchase after you get approved for the card.
The Kroger credit card allows you to earn reward points at their family of stores, which includes Kroger, King Soopers, City Market, Dillons, Baker's, Smith's, Fry's and QFC. Any purchase at their store gets you double points and any in house brands earns you triple points.
