Which program for airline tickets?

Hi to all

this is my first post. I am presently looking for a reward card. I am primarily looking to get free airline tickets. Have read some post here on citi thankyou and membership rewards. Does anyone have any opinion of the other programs like cap one no h***le miles or worldpoints? any thoughts on your experiences with these programs will be much appreciated.

I have the citi premierp*** - so comments here are about thankyou program.

I really like the program very much. The points I think are reasonable and comaprable to other programs. But what I like about thankyou is that if you decide you want a non-restricted ticket, citi will allow you to redeem for one. In fact, you may not even need more points than the standard requirements. If the flight you want is not really fully booked and it is on their partner flight list, then you'll get your free unrestricted ticket.

Got myself 5 tickets over the last couple of years and except for one occasion, I got the flights I want. What I like about my premierp*** is that I can also earn points for both flights and using the card.

Did you know it could take over five years and an expenditure of over US$ 5000 to get a free ticket within the US.

Credit rewards are carrots dangled by credit card companies. Before you are caught by the enticement evaluate your monthly earnings, expenditure, as well as loans. Do not invite a financial hurricane if you are not in a position to pay all your bills every month. Interest rates on reward cards can be at least 2-3% higher than other cards.

a few months ago, I got the BOA worldpoints card. The program is actually quite good. You can redeem points for airline tickets and also other goodies like gift cards etc.

To earn free tickets, I say travel and ac***ulate miles with your airline, get a frequent flyer miles, and pay with a rewards card. To get the rewards from your card will take long time, but at least you'll be getting points. I try to do that and then realized that when I was approaching my goal, they changed the program and the points were not transferable to my frequent flyer card!

You have to be a true flyer when it comes to looking for free tickets. I mean you really have to ac***ulate some mileage. Its hard if you don't travel alot but if you do. You'llbe flying for free in no time.

I am beginning to think that I will need to look into one of these with the way I have been travelling lately.
