I have been searching for a travel rewards credit card for a couple weeks now and I feel like I'm going in circles.
One site raves about a company while another site says it's a rip-off. Here is my situation: I only travel once a year but it's usually out of the country so I would be over the normal 25,000 points needed (Citi or Chase)... however... I am a recent college graduate and spend only $20,000 on my card annually which would take awhile to ac***ulate enough points... so would it be better to go for AmEx Blue Sky (7500 pts= $100 towards travel) and at least make it a cheaper ticket? I know in a few years I will probably spend more on my credit card so should I look toward the future and forget about my current finances? I have a 755 credit score and I always pay off my entire balance each month on time. I really can't decide which would be better? Please help me find the card with the best bang for my buck! |

any of the reward program has flights to the places you mentioned. The card that I have - the Chase Flexible Rewards - allows me to choose any flight I want. Other programs like the thankyou program or the worldpoints do not guarantee you the flight you want. Hence, you might wind up with a few stops and having longer flights. For this reason, I like the chase flexible rewards.
