Default Mr. Credit Card

Dear Mr. Credit Card:

In your review of the ExxonMobil Mastercard, you recommended the Discover Gas Card because it pays 5% rather than the 3% offered by ExxonMobil.

Now that Discover has ruined the Gas card by imposing a $100 monthly limit, do you still think that it is a better card for ExxonMobil users ??

$100 monthly limit on Discover? What's that like 4 fill-ups? I fill my tank at least 3x a week!

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll probably change them given the limits. IMO - the best straight 5% gas card (for all stations) is actually the amex simply cash business card. 5%, no tiers and no limits.

Just apply as an inidivual "sole proprietor". You do not actually need a "small business" to apply for that card.

Otherwise, you're pretty much stuck wit blue cash (5% but tiered), chase freedom (3%) or BP (5% if you only use BP)
