FTC Targets Credit Repair Scams - i3 Solutions SOS, Gene Schwalen

I'm posting this info in hopes someone will be warned away from using even ONE of the 36 companies listed in this FTC do***ent. (If I had known better, I wouldnt be going thru what I am right now.)

basically, the companies take your money up front to fix your credit, they make promises that are not legal to make, because they are promises that cant be kept, and you dont hear from them again.

Here is an example of just one of the companies to stay away from...and what the FTC is doing to help consumers who are scammed....

i3 SOLUTIONS INC, GENE SCHWALEN: Cease & Desist issued to i3 Solutions, Inc., Texas (Gene Schwalen, CEO), by NC Attorney General.

Item 1. N Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper issues Cease and desist letter to i3 Solutions (McKinney, Texas) on March 6, 2008.

Item 2. Federal Trade Commission 'Operation Clean Sweep' crackdown on credit repair companies.
