Default BK 2 years ago, now where?

Dear Mr. Credit Card,

Hi, I wanted to say I enjoy your site after stumbling across it. I had a question that I wanted to ask you in regard to credit; In December of 2006 I had a Chapter 7 BK discharged and am now 2 years out from my BK. I have done an excellent job rebuilding my credit. I have never missed a payment from 12/06 and took out an auto loan and 3 credit cards (Imagine, Rewards 660, now Metabank, and Continental Finance). My score is right under 700 which 2 years out I thnk is pretty good.

Anyway my direct question is that I want to get a credit card that does will not charge me the usual $250 up front and $10.00 a month to have the card like the ones I have now. Do you think it is too soon to apply for a better ccard and if not then which card(s) would you suggest that I apply for?

Thanks

Freddiekz

Freddie,

Wow, gratz on getting your credit score up that quickly after bk!!!! I'm over two years out and mine isn't there yet - That is awesome.

Mr. CC will have some specific suggestions I'm sure, but I can point you his page for "Improving credit" credit cards. They are not sub prime cards and should be a perfect fit!

Fair Credit Credit Cards for those with Fair Credit or Improving Credit

He's got reviews of all the cards up with the terms, etc. so that you can compare and see if they fit your needs. You're at the point where you can start to utilize rewards credit cards.

Congratulations again, I know that score took some work!
