Default Which are the better cards for students?

Are there any cards that take into consideration that these are young people just starting out?

Default I Don't Think So

You know I think the focus is just on selling the card, no one is concerned about the fact that college kids are some of the most vulnerable consumers when it comes to debt accumulation. I remember how easy it was to get credit cards when I first went away to college. It didn't take long to get into trouble, and now I have to clean up the mess.

I think the best way would be to give them a secure credit card, so they know the reality of getting in debt, and not get into trouble so fast. At least that's what I would do with my kids if I had any.

I think debit cards should be the only cards offered to students. This allows them to develop conscious spending habits before they have to pay interest on purchases.

i think cards for students is something to always be wary off because you get into enough debt as a student and getting a student card would mean more debt ihe long run and that can always be a worry

The best card for a college kid would be a prepaid card.

Definitely a good idea! That way the know exactly what the spent, and are not faced with debs at such early start. Hard to accept, but it is best in the long run.

I don't think these college kids would go for that though, because you have to have money to put into a prepaid card, which they don't.

I agree this statement! debit card is really convenient than credit card, we can enjoy the cards without second thought and expect some huge billing

I agree with debit cards over pre-paid. Just taking the extra step of 'charging' a pre-paid is a hassle.
