Yes, I agree with you, but for some people is worth charging them. I wouldn't do it, and I actually can't do it here in Berlin.

the uk supermarkets have some very good reward scheme cards that you can get money back and other items such as groceries i tend to sign up with the supermarkets that i use the most

You have cards that give you mondy back! wow that is neat, i don't think any of my cards have money back for any of them. When they say rewards, they mean rewards and thats that.
