Default Discover More vs. Schwab VISA

My default card is American Express Blue Cash, which I like for the cash rebate(especially on EDP), the extended warranties, and breakage/loss coverage. But Amex isn't accepted everywhere, so I was planning to pick up a VISA cash rebate card.

The Discover More card is an Editor's Choice and looks attractive. However, I'm not sure whether Discover will be accepted as widely as VISA/MasterCard. Also, Discover is kind of vague about the particular vendors who participate in the 5-20% rebates.

The Schwab Bank Invest First VISA card looks like a good alternative. It's kind of a "slow but steady" cash rebate card, with 2% on everything.

Any thoughts?

Depends on how you want to use them. BTW - I've just updated the Discover More Review. Now, you can see "every merchant" and the rebates.

Discover More Card | Discover Platinum Card

With the schwab account, one things that you have to be aware of is whether the accounts you have are eligible to participate in the 2% rebates. Eligible accounts include Individual, joint, or trust (living and revocable). Ineligible accounts include: Schwab One organization accounts for corporations, limited liability corporations, non-incorporated ***ociations, partnerships, investment clubs, DBA operations, nonprofits and charities, as well as general brokerage accounts, IRAs, and other retirement accounts.
