Deducting personal expenses falls under another area of the tax code and you can only deduct what is allowed, which is different from the tax code associated with business expenses. Travel for personal reasons is not deductible, but the same ticket purchsaed through a business for business activities is deductible through the business account.
Freelance business expenses require proof that the trip was strictly for business.
