Amex Starwood or Escape from Discover?

Hi guys! So I am hoping for some feedback. I travel about 4-6 times a year which is frequent but not SUPER frequent. I, however, will be traveling more during the upcoming year and wanted to get a travel rewards card to help defray the cost of some of the airfares. I currently have quite a bit of miles w. AA and was thinking of getting the Starwood to continue transferring to aa. Yet, the Discover crept as another option and the sign up bonus is good enough to get a flight in the near future as I want to do with AA. Then again...there's that issue of the 60 vs. 45 a year fee. I guess I need some help and perspective choosing one of these two card. Thanks!
