I currently have a delta skymiles platinum card. I didnt see any info on the site about this card. I travel frequently using my miles. I get double miles on some things. My friends are raving about the platinum american express card saying I can use miles for any airline not just delta. Also I would get a crown room p***. Im referring to the card that has the high annual fee (300 or something). Is all this accurate? Would I be losing anything going to the new card?

If all you want is the delta skymiles, then I think it is best to stick to your delta skymiles credit card. The amex platinum (like other amex charge cards) allows you to transfer membership points to other airlines. So it really depends how many airlines you fly and use.

Thanks for your response! I will fly ANY airline, I am not stuck on delta. I just like racking up points and flying with them. I travel frequently and wouldnt be able to do so without points. If I can use the amex platinum on another airline that is even better. It gives me more options. I dont know if the amex plat. gives airline points for purchases. I get double at grocery stores etc...
