My husband recently filed bankruptcy. This was mostly due to a bad house decision made in the past. My credit is great, however, I am only working part time and have a high debt to income ratio. He is the sole provider for the most part. I have recently found out I need to get another car. Mine is a two door now with no backseat and I need a car to fit 3 people. I basically need his income in order to get another car yet I do not know how to do so since he filed bankruptcy. If we go in to buy a car together is this a good idea or will this do more harm then good? Will my good credit and his good income combined combat the bankruptcy? He just got discharged a month ago.

My BK will be discharged within the next 60 days. I need a new vehicle and I was wondering if having my wife as a cosigner or buying the vehicle together (on both of our names) will have a better chance of getting approved at a lower rate. Unfortunately my wife is already financing a vehicle....thx

How do I go about getting the title to the car after I have been discharged from bankruptcy if it was included in the Bankruptcy?

I have been pre-approved while in open 7 bankruptcy by a financing company called CPS - Consumer Portfolio Services. A dealership in Cleveland, Ohio brokered the deal. I didn't take advantage of the offer as I went online and read many complaints about CPS. What is the best way to avoid being shunted into one of these aggressive financing companies that dealerships may offer?
