I am curious why you would say that 2 or more personal credit cards is too many? 

The more credit cards you have then the higher your available credit which increases your credit score.

Also, it is smart to get credit cards with different rewards structures (i.e. use the 5% back gas credit card for buying gas, the 3% cash back card for buying groceries, etc.)

Granted, it sounds like maybe you have had some personal issues in the past with maybe disciplining yourself to not spend more than you have so of course I am not saying that you should go out and max out all of your credit cards if you do not have the money in the bank.

If one is able to be disciplined and manage credit responsibly then the right answer is actually that you SHOULD have more than 1 personal credit card. Sorry :)</description>
