Discover Card must be going out of business. They are not accepting me as a credit card customer even though I have a perfect credit record.

That is nonsense. Discover is presently part of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Morgan Stanley plans to spinoff Discover Financial Services (which issues Discover credit cards). More likely, Discover will be part of another bigger bank some time in the future.

I have heard twice recentley, once from a business owner and once from a friend, that Discover Card is going out of business. Please advise.
