I'll soon reach a $50 rebate amount. After I use the credit for gas purchases, I'll cancel my Discover Card and use my Chase Freedom Card exclusively. Pays 2% on top three categories each statement cycle, which includes gas, groceries, utilities, and department stores.

While I am all in favor of the consumer protects in the CARD act, I would rather keep higher rewards on my cards than a longer grace period, no over-the-limit fees etc. If I use my credit card properly, I never have to worry about over-limit fees, and a shorter grace period is fine. I usually pay my balance before the statement even drops anyway. I know legally these companies have to change their terms, but its too bad the act didn't exclude "prime" reward cards. Discover and American Express, for example, cater to a more wealthier client base, in general.
