Well SVB, at least with email spam, it gets sent to a bulk folder. With WP spam , at least askimat catches lots of it. But with my forum, it just keeps coming! I have to figure out a way on that one!

Hey cool! I hope you are able to implement the anti-spam idea. We implemented this a month ago and so far, have not encountered any spam as compared to how it used to be for us! The only tricky part is to try to remember the email pattern used for extraneous company names, especially if they are used as usernames in their sites. For example, if you open an online account with Macy's and they ask for an email address to register a username, then you'd supply something like mrcc-macys@domain.com, which will be your nickname for that company.

Anyway hope you are able to use it!

Now if only I can get my act together to combat my comments spam. Akismet is not enough! :)
