The irony (which came from another post on this site) is that you cannot get a loan (for a legitimate purchase - car / house) without a credit record and the best way to get that record is to have a credit card... After getting caught in the "trap" a family member applied for a credit card which she locked in the safe just to update everything! I decided not to get the payday loan and then the next day USA credit debits my account without my authorization. I called them and they thought it was funny, but it wasn't to me.
