I am glad that you managed to break free of the debt trap and have learnt that credit does have its place if used wisely. The irony (which came from another post on this site) is that you cannot get a loan (for a legitimate purchase - car / house) without a credit record and the best way to get that record is to have a credit card... After getting caught in the "trap" a family member applied for a credit card which she locked in the safe just to update everything!

USA Credit fraudently debited my bank account when I thought I was only inquiring about a payday loan. I decided not to get the payday loan and then the next day USA credit debits my account without my authorization. I called them and they thought it was funny, but it wasn't to me. In the end, I had to stop payment on my account so they wouldn't mess with my account again.
