I have experienced the same with AMEX
I started out December last year with a 6K limit, and have been bumped up every month or two since without ever asking. Sitting at 14K as of increase yesterday.

Now flopping 6K/mo PIF every time.

Ive been with American Express Blue Cash for the last 4 years. My credit limit was $1500 when i opened it. Now it is at $25,000. My APR was Prime + 11.24%. now it is at Prime + 2.99%. I carry a balance of about $500, but when i need to purchase a large item like SLR camera and lenses that total up to $8,000, i pay off the balance with in 4 months. While my utilization is close to 30%, i then ask for a credit increase, and then i recieve it with out any questions.

I'm not sure about carrying a balance part. I got a regular Blue card in 2001 and basically used all of my $9,000 credit limit to pay for my wife's engagement ring, honeymoon, etc. It took me until early last year to finally pay the balance, but during that time Amex increased my credit to $28,000 (!!!). Unfortunately, my APR also recently doubled shortly before I finally paid off the balance.

I think I fit into the mold of the "perfect" customer. I started with a large balance and slowwwlly paid it off without missing a payment. At the same time, my income dramatically increased as well. Then again, who knows what criteria they use?
