On #2, I think the main barrier is that some people need to develop a base level of financial understanding to choose a good financial planner. Only a small percentage of financial planners meet what I believe are foundational standards, and it is up to the individual to sort out the good from the not so good. It took me a while get an excellent financial planner. I have chosen your article as my Carnival pick for my Carnival Highlights which will be posted later today. Excellent points and I agree 100%.
