After reading some of the comments here, I decided to get this card because I have future plans to buy some appliances and stuff. I have to buy some from WS. Like for example, I realize that the vitamix pro750 only comes in red at WS stores! But recently, I found out that WS carries the La Cornue Conufe range and was wondering if I could apply the 10% discount to that! That would be absolutely awesome. Does anyone have that experience?

If you shop at WS (the store itself), and you go there often enough, then this card might be worth getting. But if not, do not bother. Regular cash back cards would make more sense. I got this card when I knew that I was going to buy some expensive appliances. I had the vitamix pro blender, kitchen aid mixer and breville toaster in mind. I got the card, got a few 10% coupons and got some great discounts from it. But once I got what I wanted, I did not shop there anymore (only very occasionally) and I stopped using the card. So for me, it was useful when I needed it.

I finally got this card after years of shopping at WS. I should have gotten this card earlier. The savings you get if you focus on using it as your main card can be huge if you shop there often or if you are planning a huge appliance shopping splurge. But if you do not shop here often enough, then forget about it.

I love this card because of the coupons and points that you earn. It is just an additional way to save money at WS. They have sales during cooking class days. And I just recently bought a vitamix there and got a $120 in my receipt that I can use. So if you shop at WS, this card adds another way to save even more money. Which will make you shop there, which is what they want!

I have a few store type rewards card. The main difference between this and the other ones are the 10% discount coupons. With 10% discounts, it is 10% on the price. Other cards will give you a $10 or $25 gift card when you earn them through spending. A 10% discount card can go a long way towards savings on a big ticket item. On the other hand, if you are buying small ticket items, then having the discount coupon is not as useful.

I spend about $3k on my card every month and have decided to put all of them on this card because we plan to do a kitchen renovation in about 9 months time and I think we could save quite a bit on some of the appliances which I want to buy here.

Here is a little tip. Make sure you use the 10% coupon on higher priced items and not on cheap stuff (like aprons). If you shop at WS, get the card. It will save you quite a bit on utensils and appliance that you get here. And they only sell good quality stuff so you are getting great products from WS.

I was at WS one day and bought a Cuisinart blender. At the check out, the cashier persuaded me to get the WS Visa to get the $25 credit. After giving all the info, we left the store. I got the card in the mail a few days later and did get the $25 credit. I think I only plan to go to WS to another more appliance in a few months. So I'll probably use the card a few times to get the 10% discount.

My wife got this card in the store and there are a couple of things you have to be aware of. She was told that you would get a $25 credit if she got the card and used it. All she was trying to do was to get a frying pan (which cost less than $25). After taking down her details, the cashier said that card was approved. A few days later, we got the card from Barclays in the mail. When the statement came, it said that we owed the amount on the frying pan. We called Barclays and said we were told we got the credit and that it should not be on the bill. The Barclays rep was very nice and polite and told us that had we spent more than $25, we would have gotten the credit. But we spent less, so we would not get the credit although we can get 2500 points which we could exchange for a WS gift card. We decided to choose that option but that meant we had to go back to the store and use it! When I looked into the card details, I came to realize that this is quite a good card. The caveat being if you shop at WS often. I am not sure that we do and so may cancel this card after a while.

I really like the 10% discounts that you get after you reach the spending targets. They really do add up if you use them correctly.

I have a few cards in my wallet (including this one). I shop at WS once in a while (maybe once every 3 months) so getting the 10% discounts does help quite a bit. Sometimes, I decide to put all my months spending on the card. At other times, I do not. The way I think about it is as follows. The rules are that if you spend $2500 a month, you get a 10% discount coupon. You are allowed 4 10% discounts a month. This means that the spending threshold is $2.5k, $5k, $7.5k and $10k. I spend between $3k and close to $5k a month. If I know that I am going to hit $5k a particular month, then I'll put everything on this card. If not, I'll stop at $2.5k and put the rest on another card (most of the time, it is Discover).

I used to use my Amex Gold Card. But since I have stopped traveling, I have been looking for a new card and I think I have found it in this card since I am a SAHM and find myself in their cooking class all the time.

I have a few store cards including Nordstrom, LL Bean, GAP and Williams Sonoma. I use each at their respective stores. What I like about this card (and it pertains more to the store) is that I earn points more quickly. That is because the type of product and price tends to be higher. Most of the time, I will be buying things like Olive Oil and dressings. But once in a while, I will make an appliance purchase that cost more. In contrast to GAP where many items are always on sale for $10 and even socks go for $1 to $2.

I love WS. And I love this card. If you are doing a kitchen reno, or simply upgrading your appliance, this is a great store to shop and a great card to get.

I actually spend enough to get a 10% discount a month. So I end up buying stuff from there all the time. Good strategy on their part. But I love the store. So that is not a problem for me.

I am planning to do my kitchen remodel and intend to get the red kitchen aid mixer and the red vitamix. In fact the design might actually revolve around this. I also found out that they do carry the La Cornue range as well (the lowest model) and this would be a great chance to earn points and some discounts? I got this card because of that will will update when this whole thing goes through.

One of the ways to get savings at WS is to attend their hour long cooking classes. They usually give a 10% or more discounts on selected products. This is how I get discounts from them and using their card helps me get points (which I love).

I was reading about this on WS site. It says that if you have a wedding registry with them and have this card, anything that is bought under the registry earns you the 3 points/$. Since I am planning my wedding a year or so in advance, I thought this would great and really interesting. Has anybody have this experience with their wedding registry while being a card member?

As with all store cards, this will only make sense if you shop at Williams Sonoma frequently. I personally come here about once a month. Get my spices, oils and I always buy something on impulse. I have decided to use this card for everything (outside of WS) as well and boy do the points add up fast. It's all about your preference.

I get my spices and oils from WS. There are probably slgihtly cheaper places. But I love the salespeople because they are really knowledgeable and the atmosphere at the shop. I use this card there and though I have other cards, I might be tempted to use this one for everything and then get a couple of high end appliances that I want.

I love WS and am glad that they have finally got an affinity card. Applied it when I learned that Barclays was the issuer. Am saving up to buy the red kitchen aid mixer and will use this card off course!

I am a great fan of William Sonoma. I buy my olive oils and other stuff from here. The cooking lessons are also fantastic. Hence, I have this card and could not be happier with it.
