For a SAHM, you just gotta have this card. The savings from grocery shopping and the gas station is really adds up.

This is my favorite card. If I had to just pick one card, this would be it. I get to earn cash back and also more than 1% at gas stations, supermarkets and some department stores (great during holiday season). There are folks who say that Amex is not accepted everywhere. While that may be true, I have not faced this problem often.

I used to have the Gold charge card because my company gave me a gold corporate card. So I linked up my MR accounts and earned a lot of points. I am no longer with the same company and do not travel. So I got this card instead. And I love it. No annual fees and the cash back are just earned and I do not have to plan what to do with points. I should have gotten a cash back card ages ago.

Am giving this card a 4 star because it it has no 5% categories (unlike my Discover). Having said that, those 5% on other cards are "rotating".

I also have the BOA cash rewards. When I first applied, I thought that I was getting the 2% and 3% on gas and groceries (if I recall correctly). Then, I found out that there was a quarterly cap of $1,500 and if you exceed this spending level on these categories, then you only earn 1%. I easily exceed this for my supermarket shopping in a month! So I in addition to this card, I now use the BCE for gasoline and supermarkets too. There is an annual cap. But it is much better than BOA's. There is also no limit on the gas part.

Could not decide between the preferred version or the everyday one initially. But I finally settled on this version because there was no annual fee. Customer service has always been great (lost card, setting up auto-payments).

Used to have a Wells Fargo cash back card. But there was one incident that really ticked me off. I made a purchase from a store and about 1 month later was told that it was a fraudulent charge (it was not) and card was closed (issued new one). Was looking for a new card and decided upon this one. No regrets so far. I like that fact that you can earn more than 1% for some stuff.

I love the simplicity of this card. I chose to get the cash back in the form of a statement credit. It has gotten to the point where I just use the card everywhere unless Amex is not accepted (in which case the Discover comes in handy).

It seems that everyone is mentioning the gas and supermarket rewards. But I just want to chime in that I used this card at department stores and when the one happens to be the right merchant code, I get 2% cash back. I think this is the most underrated feature of this card. This is a page somewhere in Amex that has a sample list of department stores that will qualify. Obviously the grocery rewards are great too and we use the card at all supermarkets that we go to. But the department stores is something that I have not found other cards to have as they most have online shopping portals. Now, if only Amex has one!

Customer service has always been helpful whenever I call. I have Discover and Chase Freedom and am honestly getting sick and tired of registering every 3 months for their 5% thing. So I am sticking to using this card. My only wish is that they improved the design and look of this card. On their website, it looks shiny and new. In real life, it is a clear plastic and certainly has a cheapo look to it.

Applied and got approved almost immediately. The image of the card on Amex website is so different from what it actually looks like. But we use it wherever we go grocery shopping and at the pump. Have not really checked out which department stores will earn the extra rebate. I called Amex to sort out a couple of things like payment date and they answered all my questions with no fuss.

Love this card. The only thing I wished it had was a good online shopping portal like my Discover Card. Otherwise, no complaints at all.

I used to have this card and the BP. I only use BP because they have the lowest gas prices among the others. The old BP used to give 5% cash back. But they have since changed so you only get discounts like 10 cents per gallon or something like that. From then onwards, I just used the BCE when I am at BP. I also use it everytime I am doing grocery shopping.

Love the gas and supermarket rewards. Only problem I have is that I used Arco on occasion and they do not accept Amex. Does anyone have a list of supermarkets that will qualify for the 3%?

Lost my card once and it was replaced the next day. Also had a call on a fraudulent charge which I was not even aware. Very happy with this card.

Great card. I use it for every purchase. I used to fly a lot and have cycled through a couple of frequent flyer cards (United and Delta). But since I stopped flying, getting this card is the best thing for non-travelers.

This is a great card especially if you are the one that does the grocery shopping and fill up the gas. It looks like this is going to be my main card going forward. Only gripe I have is that the card design looks a little on the cheap side (clear plastic).

Speaking of old cards, I used to have the very old Citi Dividend, the one where you get 5% on gas and supermarkets. These are no longer available and now they are just these rotating category cards that are the same as the Chase Freedom. I really missed the old Citi card and I think this Amex Blue Cash comes closest to it. It is straight forward card and we use it all the time when we are food shopping at the supermarkets and when we are at the pump.

I originally got a BOA card (cash back I think) which had 2% on groceries and 3% on gas. But I later found out that they limited your spending on those two categories to $1500 within a quarter. I would nearly go past that limit on groceries alone within a month. So I did some research and settled for this card. Now I use this exclusively everywhere I go except for the odd places that do not accept Amex.

I used to have the Chase Freedom (still have it but am not using it anymore). But I simply got sick of all the quarterly 5% rewards because I had to sign up every 3 months! They also keep reminding you even if you have signed up. With this card, I just use it all the time. The rewards for supermarket and gasoline are really worth it (the Chase Freedom does not have supermarket as a category). The Chase Freedom has 5% for gasoline for 3 months. But I'll take the convenience of Blue Cash anytime even though it is at 2% for gas.

Have a few cards in my wallet but mainly use this one especially when I'm doing my grocery shopping. Also use this at the pump all the time even though I just use a couple of stations.

For me, the rewards on grocery seals the deal here. I shop at a few groceries, Acme, Wholefoods amongst others. I know of nobody that shops and only one supermarket. So for me, this card is a must for a family.
