Retail Store Credit Cards
|
Retail store credit cards, unlike general reward program credit cards, only allow you to earn points and redeem them for a particular brand of merchandise. These cards will appeal to those who shop very frequently at a particular retailer.
However, many people also try to apply for store credit cards because they have bad credit and think that these credit cards are easier to get. However, this is not necessarily so. Furthermore, many store credit cards only give you credit limits of a few hundred dollars up to only about one thousand dollars. Having such little credit limits is not going to help you build your credit. If you are considering a store credit, we would urge you to consider the Discover® More(SM) Card because Discover has a program called shopdiscover.com that has partnerships with over 100 retailers. When you shop at these retailers site through shopdiscover.com, you can earn 5% to 20% cash back bonus (or rather discounts). Watch the video below to see how.
